Just been trying some chicken wings out in preparation for Sunday, and wondered if anyone else is daft enough to be staying up for the game?

Would love to Matt but I've got a date with a Mouse;)

Well lucky you Florence - will you have time to make it to ESPN bar for the game?;)

Tony, Tony, Tony you poor deluded fool! Colts by 14pts I reckon, at least Manning can throw a pass, Grossman seems to have trouble tieing his shoelaces. Go COLTS!!

Sorry but I've been a fan of the Bears for years and I ain't going to stop now!!!!
If I can stay awake, we may have to discuss this on here at the end of the qtrs.

The people i work with "just don't get it", in previous years i've sat in front of the telly drinking my beers (DW Diane telling me to keep the noise down the kids are trying to sleep:) ) Billy No Mates.
I even tried to see if anyone was having a "do" in and around the Manchester area to no avail, so it may be me cheering the Bears on (my team is the Dolphins)

Tony, you are more than welcome to take a kicking over the internet is you wish! Sleep allowing it will be me, Deb, Mr Stringer and a friend of ours. A somewhat select, and probably well hammered group.

Bing - as long as you are making the effort I say! Guess it is on Miami, so that sort of includes the Dolphins??!?

I thought Kev had better taste than to support the Colts.:goodvibes
Looks like it's me and you take on the rest Harry.

Tony and Harry - you are more than welcome to make the trek to Gloucester for the game. I suspect I will be bed-bound before kick-off, but not before I have prepared copious amounts of wings, ribs and chili.

Not sure where Kev's allegiance lies, but, I've a feeling he is backing the mighty (?) Swindon to win:rotfl2:

My brother will be watching a bit no doubt, but I don't think he'll get enough interest for it to be a "Party". :lmao:

Debs that is a very inviting offer and made even more so knowing how good your cooking is, thank you. However the 2 hr. drive home plus having to be at work by 7a.m. on the Monday means i will have to VERY reluctantly decline.I'm not sure which i'm regretting missing the most, Matt's witty repartee or your home cooking.:thumbsup2

Matt have you actually told Kev what type of football it is your going to be watching????

Easy answer Tony, stay here until the game ends and drive straight to work - problem sorted! Kev can work out what sport on his own I say!!

Of course I know what sport it is!

I reckon the Colts will be 3 in front by the top of the ninth.

Hi guys :cool1:

just got my computer back
tell you what, how about a Superbowl dis meet next year?:rotfl:

same time different place?:cheer2: (sorry)

I'd love to stay up late and watch the game but kids, work, etc mean I prob won't get to see much, never mind the new sky+ will do its job!

I don't often admit to liking Am footie but I have been a secret fan since it first started on Ch 4 all those years ago! Raiders were my team then (when they were in LA), marriage and kids (plus hubby who just doesn't get it!) put paid to my regular viewing, but now I hide the remote and have the games on sunday evening while I'm ironing. I do tell the family its so I can see male thighs in lycra, but it really is for the game!

We bought our son (Thomas) a Dolphins 54 Thomas (Zak) shirt on our first trip to WDW, so we sort of root for them but they're disappointing at the moment.

This weekend I'll be going for the Colts, simply because I've seen more of their games than the Bears this season. Plus I like to spot the fattest guy on the field claiming to be a sportsman!!

Hut Hut!

Lynn
:thumbsup2

Matt and Kev have a couple of beers for me!!

I lost a bit of interest when my Eagles were knocked out!

I'll be watching at a mate's house. I've watched every Superbowl since Channel 4 first screened it back in '84 I think. It was Dolphins v 49ers and I became a Dolphins fan that day, and I wonder is it just coincidence that they haven't made it to the Superbowl ever since!!?? I always cheer for the winners of the AFC, a kind of loyalty I suppose. If the Dolphins are out of the play-offs then I'll go for a team from the same division if there is one, and when they're all out of it then it's the Conference champs that get my vote. I never support an NFC team, no way no how!! The Colts will take the title this year simply because they are offensively more accomplished. Colts by 14 Matt? I think it'll be more! :thumbsup2
