Anybody HATE their Home team(s)?

I've been a White Sox fan my whole life - I've disliked the Cubs for just as long...
I love the Bears and the Bulls but I follow and know more about the White Sox than any other Chicago team...

I've been trying to keep my eye on the Philies this year - ONLY because of Rowand...He's sure missed in Chicago...

As for the Raven's and Fans we were dumped on by the NFL and Irsay and no one said a word we went about it the right way with the Browns and we still get dumped on. Steelers fans are just as rude just like any other team out there. Come to Ravens camp where the true Raven fans and not the drunks are to see how nice we really are.

Yep, there are rude idiots in every sports stadium/arena in the world. Singling one group out is ridiculous. (I am a Philly sports fan,-a season ticket holder for one team. I know all about people making broad generalizations.)

I think it is tacky to heckle anyone (athlete or fan) but I do not think a reasonable person would walk into a home team's stadium, in opposing team gear, and not expect a little good natured ribbing.

We are all Philly Fans in my home. Which means we all hate the Dallas Cowboys. We have a love/hate relationship with the Eagles. I just loved Terrel Owens. I think he was the best thing that ever happened to the Eagles, and then the Eagles let him go. And he ended up at Dallas. So now I still have to cheer for my favorite TO. And I really hope Dallas spanks the Eagles when we play again. Meanwhile the rest of my family now hates TO and hates Dallas and hates the Eagles for sucking and always blowing things at the last moment.
Oh, we hate the Phillies too!

I do not hate my "home teams" but I am not a fan of the either. I already had favorite teams before we moved here and saw no reason to change my favorite teams because of my new location.

Ahhhhh the Philly fans I know and love. ;)

I absolutely HATE the Dallas Cowboys!! I used to be a Cowboys fan back when Roger Staubach was quaterback. I've NEVER EVER forgiven Jerry Jones for firing Coach Landry via the television - I thought that was very mean and still do.

:cheer2: Dolphins fan here!! :thumbsup2 :cheer2:

I do like the Dallas Stars and Mavericks. Not a big baseball fan so I don't really care about the Texas Rangers.

We think the same here. Of course the reason we like the dolphins might be totally different. I love anything to do with dolphins including sports teams named after them. Although the dolphins need some help! I also hate the cowboys!

Well, I love the Cubs, but I've got a huge headache from banging my head against a wall this season...

We love our Cleveland sports teams the good, the bad and the ugly.

My DD6 has a huge crush on Charlie Frye (Browns QB). She has met him twice once he came to her class and she got to be his helper and this past weekend he was at the beach and she got to say hello to him again. I guess it pays to live in the same small town.

That is SO cool! I love Charlie too!

I think it's cool to see that Browns fans remain loyal even after moving away. It's too funny too since we haven't won anything in like forever.
The Cleveland sports fan motto: "Well, at least we were better than last year" (except for the Indians).

I grew up in a very heated rivalry of a family. My parent are HUGE Steeler fans and everyone else are HUGE Browns fans. :cheer2: My aunts and uncles would "kidnap" me on the big Browns/Steelers game day so I wouldn't be corrupted. :lmao:

I ended up loving both teams, but I really do miss the rivalry; it's just not the same.

I HATE the Ravens, but of course I do.

I don't hate any of our teams, but I really don't like baseball. It's SO boring!

We are in Michigan and we have the Detroit Lions. Need I say more? They are such an embarassment from the owner on down they stink!!

I can't comment on the Baltimore Ravens fans,. But I remember back in the huge Steeler Browns rilvary days... My DH and I went to Browns stadium a couple years in a row for Steeler Browns games. We went with a tour company,. I got on the bus sporting black and gold from head to toe. People on the bus said, you're crazy I heard those Browns fans hit anything in black and gold. OK at that time I was a 27 year old 5 foot 2 100 pound girl. UMMM I'll take my chances. We had a ball at all the games. The Browns fans were so nice to myself and DH even though the Steelers won.

Would love to go again and see the new stadium....That being said Of course I love The Steelers! Who doesn't love the new "Americas Team"

I like The Pirates and Penguins but I hate that they continually lose year after year with not even a near play-off run.

We have the Utah Jazz, hardly worth (IMHO) any emotion at this time.

Raven fans nice? I don’t think so! We work in a seasonal business and one that requires working at state fairs, twice now while we were in Raven territory our Ford F 150 Steeler Edition has been keyed. So badly in fact we had to have it repainted! I will however admit that they are not the worst fans, it was also keyed in Patriot territory!

We also ran into some really rude and downright mean Cincinnati fans at the ESPN Club on the boardwalk in Walt Disney World. ( I think they honestly thought they had a chance! I Offered to by the one guy a beer but he just swore at me?)

There is nothing like a Steeler Fan! We are fans to the core and the Steeler Nation has the most devoted of fans! On the last cruise we took the entire bar was filled with Steeler fans to watch a game and only one person was there to cheer on the opposing team….and she left before half time!

So to answer the question , No I love my home team !! I bleed black and gold!!

Right and this is why this type of stuff happens to you .It's not good enough to be just a fan you have to make it part of your being (i"m not talking about you just Steeler Nation in General).

When you put it out like this then maybe people are just tring to really see if you do BLEED BLACK & GOLD. :lmao:

Thats what makes a Steeler fan so great, it IS part of our being (kinda like Disney is part of everybody here!)

And if they want to see if I bleed black and gold they can cause I do!

I also was an Oklahoma State Cowboys fan growing up in Oklahoma. Despised the Sooners, and still do. Boo for Sooners.

Even though I am "abrasive" ;) , I knew I liked you. :thumbsup2

I guess it depends on how you look at it, but no, they aren't my "home" teams that I don't care for.

I grew up in Frederick, MD, right where I am now. I always have and always will consider the Redskins and Orioles my home teams, and those are the teams I root for. I know that many in the area consider the Ravens or Nationals their home team, but not me!

I wish I could say I love the Browns, but I don't. I used to work the concession stands in the stadium......hotter than you know what or a freezing blizzard. Most of the fans were great, but some were downright obnoxious. Plus it doesn't help that they (almost) never win!
