Anybody got a Gymboree 20% off code they don't need?

where did you all get the 20% off coupons?

Gymboree RANDOMLY mailed out these 20% coupons to attract new customers. The Gymboree 'insiders' on another set of boards I subscribe to assume Gymboree perhaps bought a mailing list from a magazine subscription or something of the sort.

Loyal Gymboree customers are really bummed to have to miss out on a sale. I think it's kind of weird for Gymboree to exclude their most loyal customers, but what do I know.

that stinks!! I wonder if my mom or DH got it in their email!!

OMG! I too was just going to start a topic on this! Another "desparately seeking gymboree 20% coupon" :wave2: here! I could really use it for BTS for my kiddos princess: pirate: .

I am honestly really confused about this kind of promotion. :confused3 Why not just let everyone take part? I for one would not be shopping there at all without a coupon or promotion.

Please help!

It wasn't an email; it was an actual postcard send via snail mail.

I'm gonna jump on here too.

:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

I am really desperate of one also! I've asked every relative, friend and stanger if they got one I could have and no dice. So I am truning to my DiS friends.

   I would love one if there is another to have.

Alice28 - I see your DS has the same gymbo tee's my son has! LOL :thumbsup2

Oh yeah- my younger son and daughter have about 80% Gymboree. My older son has more stuff from the Gap as Gymbo just now started to carry his size (8). I think the top DD had on under her bib in that pic was a Daisy Chain tank. :teeth: I just have a lot of fun with their clothes. :goodvibes But ONLY at sale prices! :p

Okay, so I'm BUMMED! I posted above about picking out clothes early, which I did because, as a loyal Gymbo shopper, I thought I'd be getting the code in an e-mail. The sales people even told me I would. Well, no e- mail, no snail mail. NO CODE! I called yesterday and asked about it and the salesperson I spoke to was clueless. A manager told her about the sample. I told them to put my stuff back. Oh the agony! ;) When will the next Gymbucks be? Any guesses?

well, like I mentioned before. If anyone has a coupon they are willing to part with I will even be willing to pay a bit of money for it. But donations are gladly accepted! :bounce: :bounce:

I begged and pleaded via email w/ my friends for the code and one friend shared her code with me, but I fear it's for a one-time use as it's not like the normal codes for Friends and Family? I don't want to use her code IF she has a chance to go and use it herself? Does anyone know if it's a one time transaction per code like Gap????

And as far as Gymboree only targeting customers who infrequently shop there, I did email them the last time they did this and the response I got was "Gymboree has many promotions throughout the year for our Loyal customers such as Friends and Family, Rise and Shine, and Gymbucks. The 20% off promotion is to welcome in new customers who wouldn't ordinarily get the frequent customer discounts"

I was still quite upset as most of my girls' clothes come from Gymboree (only bought on sale of course!!! :goodvibes ) but I too think it's rude of them to forget who keeps their business thriving!!!!

Bummer..... I do hope the code is universal-as I said, I do not want to use it if she still has an opportunity to do so!!!

Here's what kills me -- there are a ton on ebay for sale (some over $20). I would have to spend way over my budget to come out ahead on that one. I too have checked with family and friends, none of which shop at Gymboree and they did not receive a card. So where did those on ebay come from?:confused3 I actually emailed Gymboree and they said it was just a promotion to try and get some potential "new customers" but rest assured they were committed to their loyal customers.

I am still trying to find one, the codes are one time only but you can use the card in the store and the code online, splitting it. I'd order online if I could get my hands on a code.

they are supposed to have a COF which is 30% off in Aug or Sept, no one knows for sure when though.
It really stinks that they are so stingy with the coupons. I usually buy alot form each line (on sale but with having 2 girls it still adds up) but this line I'm only buying the jeans and 1 or 2 shirts that are on the BTS sale. I'll take my chances that I can get the rest later if I want it.

Unless I find a coupon of course!

I also order online most of the time and would LOVE an online code if no one else is going to use it. I think it is strange too that they are just offering codes to "newish" customers when us "old" customers often spend a lot of $$$ in their stores. It is quite the bummer! :(

Mine has already been mailed to a DIS'er, but I just wanted to say that I had no idea that this was such a hot commodity! I came so close to just throwing it away, but something in the back of my mind made me hang on to it. I haven't shopped there in years, but I do have a subscription to at least 2 parenting magazines, so that may be where the mailing list came from (as someone else mentioned here).

When I get this card from mareed, I will PM the next person after me who posted the online code. I only wanted to use the card in store----I'm hoping it will come tomorrow. I went and did my holds today, and this card will save me an extra $40. Thank you! :goodvibes

I'd be waaaay happy with just the online code. :cheer2: If anyone is will to share that part with me, I'd be forever grateful!!!

My daughter has most of her stuff from there too. My son probably about 50%. But ONLY sale prices here too! :thumbsup2

A bit too late... But I went in yesterday and a lovely sales person took a coupon out of the trash and gave me the 20% off. I can see why they targeted new customers - they are in the clothes selling business, after all. They found a great way to get more people to love their stuff! I'm sure those Gymbucks will come around again soon, and I'll be back to get more. Next time, try the trash trick! It worked for me, thanks to a super saleswoman! I can't wait to see DD in her new puppy clothes.

I have a 20% off coupon good online and in the store at Children's place if anyone wants to trade me codes - I just want an online code!!!! My coupon was emailed to me for my son's birthday so I can email it right to you!!
