Hi I'm now thinking im utterly useless at finding anything DiY lol I think half my problem is that I'm having to use my iphone to look for anything as my laptop burnt out :( & I'm waiting for Santa to leave me a new one!! Boy it can not cone quick enough:rotfl:..... Anyways I looked the other day for direct/in direct but they was still very expensive or they didn't have my return date yet I'm hoping to fly out on the 25th September so I have 6 nights before my 15 night stay at SSR( already booked) so I'd fly back on the 16th October. Has anybody found reasonable flights for September or October or am I too early?? Normally I just do a package deal but I was determined to do a DIY and make it alot cheaper! I'm hoping that cheap flight deals will come out in january! :)

It's got nothing to do with being useless! My best suggestion would be to keep watching and checking leaving as many options as possible open as you can. I had a budget for £650 max for flights for next year September and like going indirect so that gave us more options. Our challenge is that we are limited flying out of Scotland so it always adds on extra for international UK departures as we have the internal sector to consider. However last month, thanks to the DIS, I happened upon a BA flight sale and managed to get flights for a couple of pounds short of £500 a head from EDI-LGW-MCO. The flights from LGW without the EDI add on were even cheaper so keep looking, read the threads - sales do happend :wizard:

Hi thankyou, I just feel no good at this when I see others managing to get gReat prices, I just called out of curiosity Disney direct and they quoted me £3700 indirect with Delta for 6 people! I guess it makes no difference if it's a child on the seat or an adult?, and it would only have been £300 more to go direct with Virgin! I really dontnwant to pay that much if I can help it the accomadtion only cost me £4880 for a 2 bed at SSR with free DDP and ultimate tickets for 4 Disney adults and 2 children as my 3 rd child is going to be 10....... I'll keep looking would love some pixie dust and to get our indirect flight for around £400 each! Also never flown indirect as an adult ( always did as a child with my parents when doing the US) but I think the kids would enjoy the hour break & would cope just fine now :)

hi tiggies, have you flown across with BA before? and was inflight on a par with VA

Hi, I have done a lot of international flights with BA but none to MCO and have not flown with them for almost 10 years (I swore I never would again :rotfl:) However they haven't had any worse reviews than any of the other airlines and to put it quite bluntly, the days of brand loyalty are over for most of us.

My boss just flew with BA from one of the London Airports to New York and said she really enjoyed the flight with them so I have no major concerns. I suppose things can go really well or potentially go wrong with any airline and for us it has come down to saving on the flight that lasts maybe 18 hours return so that we can put the money saved into additional extras on our 18 day stay.

Sorry, not much info for you in al that, but hopefully someone who has recently flown with BA will post their experiences for you. :goodvibes

I got buisness class on BA for £1600 comapred to VS at £2300 in Sept, enough of a bargin to make me try going to the dark side! I remember looing at Economy on BA and they looked quite reasonable

Hi

Virgin are showing £518 for your dates, and I think BA are showing roughly the same. Both flights are direct.

Lyndon :)

I just came on to say this:rotfl2:
3 adults & 3 children Total for passengers GBP 2,932.80

Very similar price from Manchester.

That's around the price I was looking for! Is that decent for end of September? I'm still open for in direct soni keep looking at what's coming up do you think I can bring that price down any by doing indirect or am I leaving it too late? Do I need to get in now or could I afford to wait till after Xmas? If I could wait till after Xmas then it would be better money wise since I have 3 Santa aged boys who are expecting Nintendo DS 3D each ( why can't I have a girl that wants barbies lol) ..... It's the only thing worrying me the damn flights!!!

There is no way anyone can advise on flights anymore, we used to have a rough idea but recently prices are too difficult to predict, if you are willing to fly indirect you will possibly save £50-100pp, indirect might also get a little cheaper but its all a gamble, the current price might be the cheapest they will get.

When I have a trip planned, I check flight prices near enough every day for probably months before I find a price I'm happy with. Flew to Orlando twice this year, first time paid £420 with BA, second time paid £390 with Virgin. Both of those I waited until 2 months before to book.

You have to play the waiting game, it's all about the timing with flight prices now.
