ME ME ME! My package just arrived and I am going to open it once I am off the computer. I love gardening and preserving my produce, so this is an awesome party for me.

I've been wanting to learn to can for a long time and my gf is coming down from Maine to help demonstrate. I am looking forward to canning my own salsa with FREE tomatoes from her garden this summer.

I'm thinkin by the end of summer, I'll be a canning fool!

I made homemade jelly/syrup from the wild blackberries and black raspberries that grow in our fence row. What a mess that was. I used a huge pot for making lobsters put a towel on the bottom to keep the jars from burning and used the wrong end of wire tongs to pull them out. The metal side kept slipping. What a sight that must have been.

I am so looking forward to doing it the right way.
