We have an after hours event at Magic Kingdom tonight and we have 2 kids that are sick. We leave tomorrow for home.
We have a family of 7 and so the non sick kids and me ( 3 of us) are still going.
2 sick kids , 2 year old and wife won’t be going.
Wonder if someone has gotten a refund or credit in this situation.
Thanks

While tickets are non-refundable, Disney often has a reasonable track record in working with people when unfortunate circumstances arise. If offered, that refund may be in the form of a gift card or future ticket - or similar. I would discuss at a Guest Relations window sometime today if you have a moment.

I got a refund one time due to some extremely unfortunate ride problems during our event. I didn't ask for one, just reported our issue and it was offered. It was in the form of a gift card.
In your case I would definitely ask, since you would be going if it weren't for illness.
I don't support asking just when folks change their minds. That's obviously not your case though.
When you arrive, I would go straight to GS and explain what is going on and see what they can do. I suggest the one inside Town Hall at MK.

Went to guest services. And they refunded the 3 tickets. They did say if this happens again we wouldn’t get the refund.

Because we were in such close quarters the last week I bet the wife the rest of the family will get sick by the end of the weekend. We fly home tomorrow.
On the plus side, my 8 year old daughter who had a rough VIP tour yesterday, had her fever break this morning.

I'm glad they worked with you for the refund. Life happens and I've been there with a sick kid, definitely not fun. I hope you all make it home before the rest of the family comes down with it.

Yeah. I had purchased 2 tickets to a AK after hours back in October. Couple weeks before the trip we found out hubby’s project got cancelled and it was likely he’d get laid off. I started cancelling everything I possibly could and recouping as much money as possible. I called and explained. She gave me a full 1x refund. I was so glad. And appreciative.

FYI, hubby dodged the proverbial bullet. I got him pulled onto my project and he’s okay. Not laid off. We are now planning an even bigger trip for us AND our boys in May. The good will extended by Disney sure goes a long way....and has a way of paying in the end.
