Dh and I were thinking about taking a trip president's week but haven't booked yet. I just read it was one of the busiest weeks at Disney. Anyone have any experience with this?
When I was there last year during President's Day weekend I felt it was very crowded. There were longer lines than when I usually go in the summer. I still had fun though.
Thanks!! I think we're going to plan on going anyway.. Hope we can beat the crowds by getting up early and doing this. A cruise... that sounds nice. I may have to check into that!
We were there last year during that week and will be there again this year... as long as you plan you will be okay... it is busy..but not as bad as spring break... oh yeah I will be there then too.... what am I crazy???????
We have been during President's week the past 2 years and are going to be there again this year for a Grand Gathering. I would say that the crowds die down as the week progresses and we rely heavily on info from planning websites regarding which days to hit each park. They have been extremely accurate. We have never been there during the summer, so I can't say how it compares, but I will say, we are just glad to get to the warm weather!
Another thing we have done is to make sure we are hitting character meals so that we don't have to spend time standing in line for the autographs.
I'm going that week with a friend and her son - they haven't been before. I've been many times but usually during less-busy seasons. Any tips for coping with the big crowds?

We will be there, too! The best tips are the usual: get there before the park opens, have a ride plan, use fast passes. We like to avoid EMH parks. By Wed or Thurs, it calms down a bit. The good news is that they try to have all the attractions open, and the parks are open late. Have fun!
