Anybody actually "upgraded" or exchanged "dollar value" for MYW passes yet??

That will be fine, we don't leave until 2/12/05. Just trying to get a handle on what your credit was. The gate price difference between a 5 day hopper with no/exp. and a 10 day (same) is about $80-$86 depending on if tax was included.~:)~

I have a 7 day park hopper with 4 pluses that I am think of exchanging. I redeemed marriot reward points for this a few years ago and never used it. I am thinking I would like to exchange it for a 10 day pass with hopping. If I do exchange it, I would just hang onto it because we have FITS passes for this trip. Do you think it is worth the trouble?

Say for instance, if you bought a ticket from AAA, and want to upgrade it, first the ticket has to be upgraded from the AAA ticket to the same WDW ticket. That portion the guest is not responsible for.:) Then the WDW is upgraded to the ticket that you desire... same configurations, unless you are adding configurations (may have changed since the 1st time they were doing this.) and you are charged the difference between the WDW ticket and your new ticket. That way you don't loose your discount. :goodvibes

Exchanging the 7 day hopper with 4 plusses, some choices.

1. You need to find out the dollar trade up value of that pass as purchased using Marriott points, you won't until you get to the ticket booth.

2. The 10 day pass you want to trade to costs $415. incl. tax assuming they still have the rule that all attributes of the traded-in pass (incl. non-expiration) must be had on the new pass. The cost of three more days and one more plus and Disney Quest is the difference between $415. and the value of the old pass.

3. A 10 day pass with hopping and no plusses that you let expire will cost you $260. (308 with 5 plusses) and you save the 7 day hopper as-is for a yet future trip.

4. If you do only water parks on one (or two) days, the old 7 day pass will last 8 or even 9 days and you might not need to buy more passes now. (Doesn't work if you want Disney Quest but neither does choice 3)

5. A relatively expensive choice -- Use the old pass as-is now and also buy 1, 2, 3, or 4 days to finish your vacation with. Compare with choice 2.

When I "exchanged" my 5 day PH to a 10 day MWY they did not require me to get the park hopping option on my 10 day ticket. This was on January 7th.
