Hello-I am finalizing a trip for my family of 7 to celebrate the end of my breast cancer battle. I want to make it very special for my kids (4d, 1s) ages 12-21. Any tips of what tower or floor to request? We have a 3BR deluxe reserved. I have a minivan rented and park tickets for 4 days. I thought of renting a cabana for our resort days, too. Any tips, grocery recommendations, resort or parking hacks are appreciated. I really want to make this special for them...its been a tough journey for all of us. My mobility is diminished a bit, so there's that to consider too. Thanks so much!

First of all, Congratulations! I hope you feel better soon! I don't think there is any bad tower. All of the towers are arranged in a circle around a lake. Each tower has a pool or lazy river within a short walk. I think the higher floors have better views. We always have groceries delivered by Wal-Mart when we arrive to make our lives easier. Even if you plan on eating out it is helpful to have snacks and drinks readily available. Renting a cabana is a great idea! It gives you a guaranteed base with shade for the day!

You said your mobility is diminished. Consider renting an ecv for your trip. Many of us have had good luck with goldmobility

First off congratulations, I can't imagine the journey you and your family have been on. I don't know if I am an expert but I sure do love Bonnet Creek. We love Tower 5. We love the landscaping around the pool/lazy river area, the access to the pirate pool and the restaurant. I think I have stayed in tower 5 all but 3 visits. I always request the tower at check in and only once haven't gotten it but got Tower 4 which is also a great location (the other 2 times was prior to falling in love with Tower 5) Sometimes you can get a parking lot view which I don't mind as the location means more to me than my view. If it is important to you you might specify that you wouldn't like to view the parking garage. As far as parking goes we have always been able to park in the garage. It might be on the top floor but that works. One of the things I love about Bonnet Creek is that it is just as easy to come back to the room mid day and take a break as it would be if we stayed on property.
As far as grocery stores, I avoid walmart at all costs. Longest lines in the world!! A publix opened recently near by (I can't think of the road) and it is much better. There is a super target not too far that we have gone to a few times too.

I have never rented a cabana (I am cheap) and have been able to find shade and chairs easily around the pool and lazy river. I truly could spend the whole day down by the pool. I just love it there. My kids and I have always loved walking around the lake you can buy fish food at the activities desk and feed the fish. It is amazing how many fish and turtles will come for the food. Even as my kids get older we love doing it.

Again, Congratulations this sounds like a much deserved vacation. I think you picked the best spot to relax and spend some much needed time with the family.

Thank you so very much for your kind reply!

We love tower 5 too!!! We like the parking lot few as you often see fireworks. I quit taking luggage while staying at Bonnet Creek. If we drive I fill a large storage container with everything. It makes taking everything up to your room so much easier. Sounds crazy but we have four girls and a ten day trip is A LOT of clothes which equals too many suitcases!! Prayers for your continued recovery. You've definitely earned a vacation. I wanted to add we've stayed at many WDW resorts and Bonnet Creek is my dh and girls favorite place to stay while in the area. When they hear Orlando the first thing they ask for is Bonnet Creek. You've made a great choice. Enjoy
