Any word on when ROL will be rolled out? - Probably will be with the fixed Yeti.

I know people are sick of hearing and talking about it, but we're going in December and the lack of Dining Packages for ROL or even the JB show is driving me nuts.

I'm having the same frustrations with my September trip. I just want there to be a nighttime show. Obviously I'd prefer RoL, but I'd rather the Jungle Book than nothing.

I asked yesterday... mum has been the word lately. Seems like everyone has given up.

Disney will announce RoL when they are ready. I wouldn't expect jungle book to be extended into 2017. It's not even likely it's extended past September right now. I don't even know if I would waste a dining package on that show.

My gut says sept 2 or near it. Club villain starts back up and the singers in jungle book are a big part of that event. Also my professional experience is it takes 60 to 90 days to replace purpose built hardware if it really sank which is right about sept.

Disney is going to keep their mouth shut until they are sure it's working though. They won't want a repeat of press lined up but no show.

Typically...the "dining packages" for things like this are of little use. Monetarily speaking...they can be a ripoff.

I hope they get this thing online and you get to see it...wouldn't worry about the package though

I'll have the (free) dining plan, so the package cost doesn't really matter as long as they still take the DDP. I've never done one of the dining packages before, but it seems to make a lot of sense in this case if they'd just have a show when I'm there.

It is pretty annoying - I'm trying to give some thought to FP+ selections, and without even knowing the park hours for AK, it's a wee bit difficult. Not just because I don't know what FP+ I want to choose for AK, but also because I'm not sure whether I'll be park hopping on my AK day in the evening...

I think the dining package is going to be a back-up, just in case we cant get FPs. If we get FPs, we'll just eat a normal meal.

Well it's not September 2nd. Jungle book is here until at least September 5th because that's what it's scheduled until right now. Club villain put out a casting call for new cast so that has absolutely nothing to do with it.

Hmm- we are going at the end of August and I've booked the dining package at Tusker House, hoping it would be ROL. No chance? We aren't interested in JB and need to pare down our dining budget- got a little carried away.....Advice??

It's very unlikely RoL is done by August. September I've heard at the earliest. Tusker house is still a good restuarant without the dining package.

Do the math with the menu, when I went to tiffins on opening night with my daughter, we saved about $35 by booking the jungle book package. There is menu items that easily get you over the cost if everyone orders expensive.

If you don't care about the show, you'll find people standing on the bridge trying to watch that didn't get a seat, hand them your entrance passes and make it a "twisted but magical" moment for them.

We did the Jungle Book dining package a couple of weeks ago and, while it made getting a good seat just a tad bit easier, it would definitely not be worth paying OOP for it. There was plenty of good seating available fifteen minutes before the first show. We arrived about fifteen minutes before the show and the dining package section had several completely empty rows. They even started letting in people to fill in those empty rows about five minutes before the show- not sure if they were VIP groups or what was up with that.

We had the dining plan so it cost us no more than a regular meal at TH would have cost. That was worth it.

The second show was over half empty. Fastpasses were always available for it- even an hour before the show. Of course, that was with an 11 pm close and a 9 pm and 10:30 show. If the show goes to one show a night and AK closes quite a bit earlier, a dining package or FP would be more important.

Not always true. I know (unless something has changed in the last year or so) if you are on the DDP, and do the the Fantasmic package at Mama Melrose's, it's a 3-course meal. So for the same 1 credit if you were to eat at MM without the F! package, you only get entree & dessert. While with the package, you also get an appetizer.

We do this with the Fantasmic Dining Package. We do not always go to the show, and we book a late lunch at MM, so we give the vouchers away after we leave the restaurant.

I made my FP+ selections at 7am this morning and no FP available for ROL or JB from the end of Sept thru first wk of Oct. So no AK evening show in this time period unless they roll it out later. Just Kili Safari night tour.
