Any word on night time EMH's???

Ok, they tested a mix of morning and evening EMH's in May....any word on plans to change the EMH schedule??? We're going in early December and I'm planning based on the morning only schedule -- but I'm wondering if plans are in the works.

Anyone hear anything??

No way to know until they make an announcement. The test phase in May was put into place on about 3 weeks notice. So it's impossible to tell whether it will be back on a permanent notice, when/if it might start again, or how much advance notice will be given.

While I think it would be wonderful to have the night EMH, I personally don't think they'll ever do it. Sorry to be the downerm, but people still come out for the E-Ride Night, shelling out the $12 bucks. Granted, I know nothing about whether they're considering it or not (no insider here). While I would love it, I wouldn't plan on it.

No down-er, I don't really mind. I think I kind of prefer keeping the morning EMH's and the E-Ride Nights as they are...just trying to plan. I remember a bunch of DISers having to scramble and re-plan because of the sudden announcement of the evening tests of EMH. SOme were disappointed because PS'ings were planned around the EMH schedule, etc. so I was jsut trying to get a handle on what to expect. Anyhow, I'm haiving fun planning and I will plan based on the current mornings only schedule and make adjustments if necessary.

I'm sure the financial impact of the E-Ride nights scheduled all summer will have some bearing on the ultimate decision.

But personally I don't see any reason to not implement some sort of nighttime EMH schedule. We've never used the morning EMH because we just don't like to get out of bed that early. The test schedule had either night OR morning hours on most days. I think it's more than fair to trade 3 or 4 early openings for the same number of late closings.

We actually participated in the EMH night test back in May. The armband system worked very well. Only WDW resort guests could get a wristband, and the wristband was required in order to board an attraction after the official closing time.

Dedicated E-Ride nights are OK, but they are also only held at the Magic Kingdom, and I don't know how much of a success they would be in the off-season. In months like November, December and January, when there's regularly a 10 minute wait for Space Mountain (aside from the holidays, of course), who's going to pay $12 for those extra hours?

When considering the financial impact, one must consider whether this perk would entice people back on property. I am not saying it would or wouldn't, but that variable must be weighed. Although E nights are for resort guests, I don't believe people are deciding on or off site based on them. Just my opinion, though.
