Any WISHers doing the Broad Street Run?

DH and I are thinking of running this one. It is May 3rd in Philia, PA. It is a 10 mile race straight down Broad Street. I have a minor work conflict with the race but might be able to work it out. Just wondering if any WISHers are planning to be there.

If anyone has experience with the race I'd love to hear what you thought.

Hi! I'm thinking about signing up for this one as well. Some of my friends have done it in the past and really enjoyed it. It's crowded (I don't think they limit registrations), but everyone seems to love it. I'm going to decide before March 31st (when registration fees go up). Right now I'm leaning toward yes

Has anyone else run it or is planning to run it this year?

I'll be running it for the first time this year, and I'm really looking forward to it. Actually, I'm pretty sure that Terri from the WISH boards (TEK224) works for the city of Philadelphia and helps to organize this race!

My daughter goes to Central High School (where the race starts), and I've lived in Philadelphia most of my life, so I am excited about the opportunity to run this race. I think that my brother will be joining me as well.

Kira's right, I am involved with the race. I actually organize the Expo, so feel free to stop by the information table and say hi. I wear my WISH bracelet all the time, so that could help ID me.

I don't run in the race (too tired by race day), but I ride in the lead woman's pace car, tracking mile times.

This year we are celebrating the 30th anniversary and THERE IS BLING!!!
The course is virtually all flat (two, teeny tiny inclines) and pretty fast.
We are going to a corral system this year, due to the popularity of the race.

Terri - If you're in the lead woman's pace car, I certainly won't see you DURING the race! I will try to find you during the Expo. What table will you be at? And that's GREAT news about the bling! What can I say - this was my one hesitation about doing this race vs. the Country Music Half, and now I am fulfilled!

I'm pretty sure that Lou is doing this race also. Jessica & jbucci - are you going to jump in and join us???

When I'm not roving around the Expo keeping a check on things, I'm usually at the info table, which is at the top of the escalatos when you enter the club level of the stadium. If I'm not there, just have one of my staff page me.
