Any winning on Priceline in Oct?

I was wondering if anyone had any winning bids on Priceline they were willing to share. I've been trying for Oct. 10/15-10/23 and $25 and $30 bids for a minivan have been rejected several times. Maybe it's too earliy or too low?? We have also talked about downsizing to a full size that seats 5 people.

I've been trying for Oct 6th - 10th for a mid-size car. My last rejected bid today was $21.00. Ouch because I can usually get a standard size for a lot less!

I've been trying for Oct 1-10 for a minivan. My bids have actually been pretty low, but I'm thinking I might need to wait until 2 weeks out to try again. The only problem is I doubt I'll get a minivan for cheap since most car rental companies are completely sold out for the time we will be there. I have a pretty decent rate on a full size thru Alamo ($190.55 tax/fees included for 9 days), but I was hoping to get a vehicle that will hold 6 people. We are renting 2 cars because my mom doesn't always want to go when we do and she's having surgery 2 weeks before we leave so she might not be up to staying all day. I might try for a full size SUV and hope to get a great rate about a week before we leave.

Not for me yet either. Our dates are 10/7-15. I still think that it's too early. I don't know where I read this, but years ago I read that it's best to start 2 weeks out with bidding.

I'm shocked that $21 was rejected for a mid size. I have been hearing two weeks out on a couple of threads, so I guess that's the time to try. I am a little confused because the crowd projections are 1-5 for our dates. Who's renting all the cars?? Thanks everyone for the info and I'll update if I win anything.
