Any Westgate Owners out there?

We are Westgate owners and go every other year. I am wondering if anyone has evern used a grocery delivery service to have their groceries delivered on their arrival day? I hate shopping, and would rather be sitting by the pool rather than shopping.

Also, in 2006 it was our first year as owners, and the person who brought us to our condo set up a maintenance meeting for 4 days later. We really didn't want to go, so we didn't show up. She tried calling us several times, expressing her "concern" about our welfare. I figured this "meeting" was just a ploy to try to get us to provide names of friends/family members they can send marketing things to. We love staying at Westgate, but don't want to bug our friends with marketing the place. Is there a graceful way to say "no thanks" to the meeting if they try to set something up this year?

We are owners at Westgate Villas (for now we are in the process of selling and not because we dont like it) We have done different things to avoid the maintenance meeting. Our most recent was to make the appointment and just not answer the phone. We have also made it, gone down and told them you have 1/2 hour for the meeting. We are not interested in buying, updating etc. They just told us to leave. We have also just told them no when they bring us to the unit. It is all just a waste of time. Avoid it at any cost.

We own at Westgate Lakes. We don't do the mandatory meeting, we told them we bought resale and aren't interested in anything else. We have been left alone since.

Maybe I would have this information if I went to the maintenance meeting ;-)... but I heard there is a water park going in behind the new check-in building and that a spa and fitness center are going in the buildling near Pool #1. Does anyone have the scoop on that?

Been rumored for a couple years but, so far, nothing actually exists nor under construction. Don't plan on it anytime soon.

We will be staying at Westgate latter this fall but are not timeshare owners. Do they typically offer you the timeshare pitch and if so, what are the incentives you have been offered? TIA Grammy

We are Westgate Owners (used to own at the Villas but upgraded to Gatlinburg Tenn.). The last time we were there was June of 2007 and we did go to the maintainence meeting only because my DH had some issues with some of the upkeep of our room, plus a couple other issues. We went down there and spent about an hour to hour and a half telling our person some of our displeasures. He thankfully wrote them all down and that was all. I think all those things (meaning meetings), since you already own, are for their own use. They want to know how your stay has been going and how the upkeep is. The only time I have found where they wanted family/friends names and numbers were when they were with us vacationing....we would let Westgate know that they are our guests and to NOT bother them whatsoever....and it works everytime.
