Any way to save on HP merchandise in park?

I've heard about the AAA discount but know that it isn't supposed to apply to merchandise in Hogsmeade or Diagon Alley. Any other discounts, coupons, etc. within the HP areas or it is what it is? TIA!

I am planning on using this discount for our trip in a couple weeks. Here's the fine print but I'm wondering about the underlined area. I have it as a tab on my phone but not a 'mobile site'. Is there an app? Also, there's an expiration date which falls within my trip but maybe not yours?

I know for us, the AAA discount was usable for HP merch if it was bought out of the Potter-areas. IE main area gift shops. I know that doesn't help for a lot of the specialty items that are in Potter-areas only, but we did use it for some of our general merch (HP ornament, postcards, journal, wands, etc)

Did they change it? I've used the AAA discount on everything in Potter areas except the carts? It's been a few years, though.

This summer (June 2015), we asked at every area we bought things and every worker said they don't accept AAA discounts in the HP areas.

Not sure if this was a park decision, to get people buying better APs for discounts or a AAA thing. (AAA keeps altering how their discounts work.)

I've used this discount throughout my trips, last oct and feb. I only had 1 place ask me to show them the offer and that was a crappy quick service food place in the Lost Continent. Everywhere else, just mention the AmEx discount - even in HP.

Thanks so much for posting this info. I just used it this weekend and saved about $30 between buying two interactive wands and meals.
