This will be our 3rd trip to Orlando and we were recommended by a Travel Agent that the Rosen Center was the place to stay (I believe they had stayed there last year).

I understand that it is mainly a convention hotel but was also made aware that their service to holiday makers was second to none.

It's booked now anyway, but would like to hear people's views if they have stayed there.

IMHO any hotel that is in the close proximity of Darryl's must be pretty good.:D

Hi! we have stayed at the RC on two occasions, the last being in 2001, got a good deal and stayed for six nights. we are going again this year and iI was lucky enough to get it on Priceline for a better rate. It has a huge pool, nice surroundings and a quiet part of I-drive. 24 hour snack shop is good also, five more weeks and I can hardly wait. We are staying for six nights again this year. I am sure you will enjoy it.

I stayed here via Priceline and thought it was very nice. It is lARGE and feels big and busy but our room was quiet. The room is nicely decorated though nothing specail, decent size and was quiet. I had heard self parking was quite a walk so we used valet. Red's Deli was very good.

I booked up with Virgin Travelstore as I always do here in the UK and they have been spot on before, so I felt pretty confident that the Rosen would be good.:D

It's still nice to hear good things from fellow travellers though.

June 19th we depart for MCO, can't wait !!!!

The only dampener is that I'm going to miss out on the Star Wars weekends.:(

We've stayed at Rosen Centre twice and it is wonderful. Kind of hard to go back to motel stays after it.

It's all you would expect of a prestigious hotel, very busy. You walk through the rear of the hotel, past all the conference facilities to get to the self-parking. Quite a walk, but we didn't mind. Most of the time there were conferences going on and we found it really interesting to walk past the different displays, etc. One evening there was a local school prom and it was great to see the girls in their lovely gowns (we don't have proms in England).

Oh - we went with Virgin and the second time we went my pushy daughter asked if there was any chance of an upgrade as we were frequent Virgins (one of the perks is that the hotel should upgrade you) - and I don't know how we did it but we ended up with 2 suites which were HUGE! I dread to think how much they would have cost - but we weren't complaining.

Pool and jacuzzis are great! Enjoy.

Ann.

We too are frequent Virgins and have taken advantage of room upgrades in the past.

You've just got to pluck up the courage to ask, and that's not always easy after an 8-9 hour flight.

I'm definitely going to ask now though.

Thanks.
:D
