Were you able to order off a side menu or from the Kona menu or did you call ahead? We have one veggie in our group but the rest of us really like Ohana. Thanks in advance.

On a recent visit, we had DW's aunt and uncle come over from Clearwater to meet us. She's not a true vegetarian - she can eat a little white meat, but her body doesn't produce the enzyme needed to digest most any other meats ... (sorry, TMI).

Anyway, our server apparently saw her distress, and without asking, brought her a nice vegetable/Asian noodle dish - sort of a lo mein. She loved it.

I think simply asking would do the trick, but perhaps for peace of mind, a phone call ahead would help.

Thank you Dreamfinder2....I figured they would have something...I think most of the restaurants really try to accomodate you.

I went to O'hana with friends last October and I don't eat any meat. I will eat seafood, so I did have the shrimp. With the potatoes, salad, chips, and vegetables, dessert and my Malibu Macaw drink, it was plenty. We enjoyed it, so we're going again this year. I know they do have a vegetarian dish, but decided not to try it. Hope this helps.
