Any upgrades ever given out at CR? I know that

the tower rooms are usually booked and therefore not upgradable from wings, but I have a standard wing and is there anything to upgrade from except to a tower which I know we will not get?

We have stayed at the Contemporary 4 times and have always booked the standard view room in the wing and every time we have been we were upgraded to a water view wing room. We will be back there for christmas. I can't wait.

Hmmmmmm.......I have been staying at the CR since 1980 and we have NEVER been upgraded. I guess it just depends on how busy it is and which CM you get.

Three of the times we were upgraded was the first week in June and the other time was the week of Thanksgiving. We were also upgraded at the Dolphin last year. The funny thing is we never asked for an upgrade we just went to the room and noticed when we got there. I guess we have been lucky.

We stayed at CR in late August. We booked a tower view room and were upgraded to 12th floor concierge. We did not ask for this and it was a pleasant surprise when we checked in.

Last September friends of ours were upgraded from the wings to the tower...but I wouldn't count on anything. We stayed in May, and I really wanted to stay in the tower, so that is what I booked.

we were at the CR in January 01 and booked 2 connecting garden wing rooms. When we arrived to check in, we were told that we were being upgraded to a 2 bdrm suite on Concierge.

Talk about luxury. We still paid the same rate as if we were in the 2 garden wing rooms, but had all the amenities of concierge, plus the benefits of the suite. It was the most amazing thing to ever happen to me. Our next 2 subsequent trips, I booked tower rooms and, while another upgrade didn't come our way, we still had an amazing time.

I can tell you that I never asked for the upgrade...it was just given to us.
