any updates on the disney scrapbook store at downtown disney?

hi guys, we are leaving on friday for florida, going to cocoa beach for a few days and then vero beach, but since we fly into orlando and it will be lunch time.... should I try and convince the family to go to downtown disney? Has anyone got any updates on the scrapbooking store? (or the new toy store for that matter ) thanks, maggie

it still wasn't there. I asked the CM in 2Rs about it, and she said that they had all had a couple of hours of training on the stuff, but wasn't sure when they were going to get the it in or start a big push with it. They had about one or two shelves of stuff on display, but it was mostly things that could make a page spread or something. Not a lot at all. I bought nothing. The CM's feelings were that they would wait so long as to allow them to forget everthing they had learned. She did know that it was coming, just no idea when.

nicurn...just wondering, how do you deal with the car rental situation when flying into orlando and going to vb?

My mom is going to be there at the end of the month and already has her marching orders to call me when she gets to that store!!

I sent WDW an email asking them about when the store would be open and this was their reply:

"Thank you for your interest but there are no announced plans for a scrape booking store in Downtown Disney." Their spelling, not mine. Announced may be the key word here, but it may not be any time soon.


We are going down the first week of September and I was very much looking forward to spending some time (and money) at this store! I will still check it out and will report back here when I return.
