Any Updates on Jiko?

I know some folks mentioned of some refurbishment going on at Jiko. We were wanting to eat there for a September trip and still check everyday to see if ADR open up. Any insights?

We stayed at Kidani this past weekend. Our bartender at Victoria Falls told us there are no Jiko reopening plans at the moment.

We were hoping the same. At least we have ADRs at Sanaa.

I am not aware of any update. However, a rumour posted in this forum on July 25 stated the following:

Boma is scheduled to reopen on Aug 20th.
Victoria Falls Lounge is scheduled to reopen on Aug 26th.
Jiko is scheduled to reopen in late September.

So far, Boma opened at that rumored date, and Victoria Falls Lounge opened a couple of days before Aug 26. So the posted rumor appears as reliable and we may continue to hope for a Jiko reopening by late September.

We like Boma, but we love Jiko. We'll have to settle for Boma in late Nov unless Jiko comes through

At this point its gonna end up being some kind of surprise opening, if it even opens

We stay at AKL every other year and usually do the Wanyama safari - I’m hopeful that once Jiko reopens they’ll start offering Wanyama again, looks like that won’t happen before our trip this Dec. . At least we have ADRs at Boma & Sanaa.

I’m with you! We have Boma reservations for one of our dinners but would love to switch it to JIKO.

Staying at Jambo house in the DVC rooms when it was closed was wild, like a ghost town. At this point I just want everything back at the resort fully.

Including Sanna not having a limited menu, but especially Jiko coming back.
