That’s great! Traveling with a 2 yr old gs - daughter and I were concerned about food for him if those afternoon storms pop up! Neither one of us wants to be fetching food in a downpour and he’s not one to miss a meal

Sure from within MDE app.

Use the Map Pin on the lower task bar and navigate the map over the GF. You need to change the Pull-down on the top of the screen to select dining.

Once the dining Icons pop up for GF you want the left one on the main GF building. You will get a pop-up with a Get Directions button. Don't click on that button just the text: Private Dining at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.

You will get a screen of what hours Private Dining is available and View Menu button.

Current Hours:

Breakfast: 7 AM - 12 PM
Dinner: 5 PM - 11 PM

Ugh that is beyond annoying!!!! We utilize in room dining so much! I was just saying to my husband how I cannot believe we are paying what we are for a deluxe and not getting in room dining. It hurts lol.

We have used the “to go” option as a substitute. For example at Poly in the Mobile ordering section you can order to go from Kona Cafe. Dd and I will place order from room in the morning or on way back from parks. When it says ready we take turns picking up.
The deluxe have this substitute for now. At least it seems less pricey. Also we get beverages from the shop which is cheaper than room service prices.

Yeah we are big on not having to go collect anything lol. We like having all hands on deck tackling the getting ready with the kids and having the food appear haha.

Curious if in-room dining returns to other resorts, I know cities like Las Vegas are migrating toward a grubhub/doordash model where you order from on property restaurants....most no longer offer standard in-room dining.

DH and I are all about mini bottles of condiments. I swear he swoons over the tiny Tabasco bottles.

We have literally chosen not to stay at certain hotels since the pandemic because of the lack of room service! The Williamsburg Inn has lost countless staycations from us because they have discontinued it.

I hope Disney reconsiders this soon. We've been staying CL,, but I still enjoy the option to have a made to order breakfast brought to my room.

I miss it too. I usually like to get it for supper at least one night during a trip and for breakfast at least one morning.

I was staying at Dolphin in April and caught a bad cold on Thurs when I was leaving on Sat. I just didn't want to leave my room. Oh look, Dolphin has room service. Well, sorta, kinda, maybe, nope not for me. Turns out you have to use the App. which didn't want to work on my phone. I could do all the other things from the App but not room service. Went to the front desk to check on it and they said, they could do it on their phone but no solution as to why it wouldn't work on mine or an alternative way of ordering. I'm sure it has something to do with the type of phone I have - android OnePlus 8 and some setting somewhere on the phone. So, no room service for me at the Dolphin. I ended up having to walk down to the Fountain and place a to go order. You have to do that at the counter which was a pain since I was double masking and trying to stay far away from people.
