Any unhappy upgrades?

I know upgrades are not to be expected but has anyone not enjoyed their upgrade? I have read that there are different cabins that are considered to be in noisy areas and not so desirable locations. Has anyone had this experience before and if so what did you do about it?

I've never been upgraded, but I did read another thread about this that someone mentioned that they wouldn't like being upgraded because they hand-picked their room (as in my case) or it would split up their parties.

I know if it were me, I would prefer to be asked first & given the option, rather than just automatically upgraded, but I suppose DCL's intentions would be the best.

I wasn't asked about our upgrade and I was a bit concerned since I did book 15 months ago and I picked our cabin. so when I found out recently that they upgraded us from a Cat 6 to a Cat 4, I was a little concerned. I will be mentioning this upon checkin, because we're not as far aft as we were when I picked the cabin. I don't know if they'll move us to a Cat 4 further aft or put us back into another 6 further aft...we'll see.
