I recently read or heard (can't remember which....) that Johnny Depp signed up for a 4th POTC movie.

Has anyone heard this as well?

we got back from dw on 9/28 -- was lucky enough to catch Capt'n Jack's PIrate Tutorial. WHAT A MATCH. This guy WAS Johnny Depp. It was almost scary how perfectly he portrayed the character. If you didn't know better, you would think it was Johnny Depp himself. This guy could easily be a double for JD as Capt'n Jack in the movies....
I love the pirates movies. I really hope the rest of the cast signs on for the 4th installment!! Was reading yesterday that DCL will be hosting a POTC "the Legend Continues" (or something along those lines) cruise next year. Two of the actors from the movie will be there as well. Cost of cruise AND $250pp to attend.

He is also doing Alice in Wonderland with Tim Burton Right? I think he will play the Mad-hatter. Funny story: when we were in WDW in May, they had a pirates skit outside of the pirates ride and the actor was a dead ringer for Johnny! We watched him for awhile and then went to lunch. Well at lunch my phone rings and it is a casting call that I took the family to for his new 'Public Enemies" film. Long story short Dh and myself were extras in the movie. We worked along side Johnny and Christian Bale. A once in a lifetime experience! Dh played a Chicago cop and I was an "upscale woman" in the train station and theater. He is the sweetest man and so darn cute! The movie comes out in July, hopefully we will see the back of our heads or maybe an elbow. It was so ironic that we were in wdw when we got the call. Made the memories even better!

Johnny Depp and Tim Burton are like Peanut Butter and Jelly...they just go together so perfect!!!

Disney Studios Announces Three New Johnny Depp Projects
Disney Studios recently announced several upcoming projects involving Johnny Depp. Depp will reprise his role as Captain Jack Sparrow for a 4th Pirates of the Caribbean movie. In addition, he has signed on to play Tonto, the well-known sidekick, in a Jerry Bruckheimer production of The Lone Ranger. Depp will also re-team with Tim Burton, playing the Mad Hatter in a part live-action, part motion capture, part CG, mostly 3D version of Alice in Wonderland.

Yes, I have watched it. It is 30 second or less scene.

Elizabeth is standing near the cliffs with a young boy and Will is sailing.

Yep, Elizabeth is waiting with a young boy ( presumably her and wills son) on a beach ( looking out at the sea)and the flying dutchman surfaces with Will at the helm.

I have read it on many websites and in Entertainment weekly.As of now Johnny Depp is signed on for a 4th pirate movie.Keira knightly has refused thus far, and there has been no mention of Orlando Bloom yet.

Yup, JD will be back at Cap'n Jack in Pirates 4 AND he is the Madd Hatter in Alice!! I'm so excited to see them both. I love JD when he's all weird like that! LOL

And no, Orlando and Kiera do not plan to reprise their roles, which is fine with me altho Orlando is pretty hot.......

And now Zac Efron of HSM fame has signed on for POTC4. That ought to be interesting... Who is he going to play? Will Turner's long lost dancing/singing pirate younger brother?
OH! or maybe he'll be playing Will and Elizabeth's son...if they set Pirates4 years ahead of where the Pirates3 left off, that might actually work!!

Zac has not signed on yet. They just interviewed him on E! and he said nothing has been mentioned to him at all. But they are looking for a guy to play Johnny's brother!
