FINALLY taking the faminly to WDW. We are looking at the week before Easter (I know it will be crowded but it's the ony time that works for us) Has anyone stayed at one of their houses manged by Romancing the Mouse? I'm looking at the one in Windsor Palms - looks nice and sounds nice - but would like to know if anyone has stayed there.

Thanks!

Be sure you mention that you heard about them on the DIS boards... I believe they give a discount.;)

We've stayed with Mark and Holly twice and have our third stay booked with them already. They are great and the houses in WH are really nice. Don't know about the WP houses, but I assume they'd be the same caliber.

Any questions in particular?

We have stayed with Mark and Holly aka. Romancing The Mouse, for 2 weeks over Thanksgiving 2 years ago. They were great to deal with and took care of EVERYTHING !!!
It seems odd to call them a management co. They own all of their homes, I think they have 5, 2 in WP and 3 in WH. They make you feel more like friends and family when you stay with them, instead of treating you like a business client. They are always around if you need them, but if you dont, they wont intrude. The houses have everything you could need except food........Holly even takes care of some of that too! Warm Muffins,Fresh baked cookies, and chocolate covered strawberries, through-out your stay. I am not kidding!
You cant go wrong staying with the Romancing the Mouse. The homes are amazing........they are the best decorated and themed homes I have seen. Not over the top, just unique. We stayed in the 5 bedroom home in WH. It was great. We only needed the 4 bedroom home, but Mark & Holly gave us the 5 bedroom home next door for the same $$$.
We would be staying again this year, but we only need a much smaller 3 bedroom condo this time around. I will miss Mark & Holly, and the Homes.
You WILL enjoy your stay at Romancing The Mouse!
Good Luck......

Thank you all for your thoughts and comments. We did rent the house in Windsor Palms - the kids are so excited to have a pool of their own. The owners have been very nice to deal with. We are going April 1 so I'll be sure to let everyone know how it went. I am NOT looking forward to the crowds but I' afraid if we put it off anymore, I'll never get there!

Are you familiar with TourGuide Mike? You can subscribe through a link on this site, and it costs abour $20. I've been to Disney many, many times, but I used it for the first time when I went the week before Christmas a couple of years ago. With his advice, my family was very impressed with how I always had us where the crowds were not. ;)

We went last year the week before Easter(stayed at POP) and it wasn't as bad as we had planned. One thing though, we ended up park hopping only one day. We would go in the AM, and also get fast passes for the evening before we took our afternoon break. So, we almost always went back to the same park to utilize FP. And we also avoided the park that was having EMH. We left by Good Friday and it was getting really crowded by then.
I don't know anything about where you are staying, but hope this helps.
