Bonjour, mon Disney amis!

Just wondering if anyone has any top tips or strategy for seeing Santa with the minimum queueing possible? I'd love for my DD to see him in DLP as it'll be such a special thing for her, and for us too. But I can't bear the thought of a humongous queue for hours on end.

Any advice much appreciated! :cheer2:

we went to his area in Frontierland pretty much from ropedrop time at 10am. He was scheduled to start his meet n greets at around 10.30am I think, so we didn't have to wait that long really. We were about 10th in the queue at that time of the morning.

Get there as early as you possibly can and if she wants to write a letter then pick up the stuff before you join the queue and write it while waiting. We waited an hour last year when we went at the end of November (shouldn't really complain though it was the only thing we queued for!)

Was wondering this too! Saw Santa doesn't open til 11.30am so don't fancy waiting hour & half after rope drop. Has anyone gone later in the day? Are the queues less busy?

I was going to ask this when people say top drop for frontier land do you wait at the walk way at the top of the arcade on the left of Main Street?

either there, or at the main entrance to Frontierland, where the fort is.

I'd go to the 2nd entrance down near adventureland as Santa is way down there, so you're quicker from the rope.

if Santa doesn't start his meet n greet until 11.30am, I wouldn't go at 10am anyway, I think I'd probably have a look on my first day at say parade time, or just before, and see what the queues look like then.

Yes thats what I was thinking. His schedule is 11.30-4.30pm. I think we might try at 4.15 in hope that people will be waiting for parade to start at 4.30.

That's a good idea, will try that on the Tuesday because on the Wed/Thurs we've got early dinners booked.

Would be acceptable for my DH to queue then me and our DD join him later on? Or is that considered poor form?

it depends how they do it - when we went, you had to go through a turnstile-type gate into the grotto. Its narrow and so you wouldn't easily be able to join folk further up the queue if they're already through the turnstile.

Thanks, Elaine. I wouldn't have the brass neck to push past loads of people.

I should really ask - what actually happens when you meet Santa? Is it just one Santa and everyone gets their turn with him? Hence a long queue! And would my DD get a little gift?

yes, its one Santa, in his grotto (and one of the other buildings there is used as an elves workshop), everyone gets their own turn with him, and no, no gifts.
