OKW 3 nights
Contemporary 3 nights

Any useful tips would be greaty appreciated!

We are on the DPP but bar prices would be good to know. Thanks in advance.

Good for you! Wow 17 nights! - Can't help much on specific bar prices, but know that they have the typical Disney premium, probably about 30-40% higher than what you'd expect outside WDW.
Enjoy your vacation!

17 nights - wow, the only tip I have is relax, enjoy and have fun. Wish I could get that much time to spend in WDW!!!

Here are my tips.

Don't buy the DDP for your entire stay, you are paying too much for what you get and you will be sick of eating after 10 days.

Try to limit your split stay to 2 resorts unless you have a reason to visit all three. Moving will eat up 3/4 of your day each time you move.

The Disney signature drinks are the same at every Pub. You might consider the TIW card if you are a big drinker.

I second these comments the TIW card might be the better option.
You don't want to come back 10 pounds heavier.

Another tip is to take everything slow, enjoy the resorts as much as the parks. Look at all the attention to details that Disney has.

Why would moving eat up 3/4 of your day each time you move?

We now split stay every trip, twice a year. I have bell services pick up my bags before we head out to the parks in the morning, tell them which resort they are transferring to, head out to the park of the morning, take the bus back to our new resort and check in after lunch at the new resort. Most of the time room is already ready, and we call bell services at the new resort to bring up our bags. They aren't guaranteed at the new resort until 4 (I think that's the correct time, but we've never actually had to wait.) Then we take a nap, go to the pool, etc. before we head out to our dinner ressies and PM park.

Our KTTW still work to charge from our first room. We have APs, so we don't have to worry about tickets being on our KTTW. I've never had a problem. <knock on wood> I was against it at first when my DH wanted to try it, but now I really enjoy it. I wouldn't say it takes up more than about 30 extra minutes a day packing up room, checking in/out and waiting for bell services.

Two last tips...

I order two tubs from Office Depot to be delivered with our water....one for cold storage and one for toiletries. Instead of having to pack up everything in ziploc bags, so it won't leak, I just throw it in a tub. I label it with our names (and put "cold storage" on the kitchen one), and I have never had a problem. Makes packing up the "old" room a snap, and moving into the "new" room even easier!

TIP BELL SERVICES WELL! They are the ones responsible for most of your smooth transition!

You are much luckier than we are. When we check in the room is seldom ready, they never seem to call when it is ready and we sometimes have problems with the room not being up to minimum standards. By the time we pack everything up, go to the new resort, (a 45 min bus ride), check in, call a few times to verify room ready, go to the room, (another bus ride), deal with any problems, set up the new room, (build the nest), it can take some time.

Bill - just out of curiosity, do you move your own luggage or let Disney move it for you? Why do you choose not to head out to a park in the morning and instead directly to the hotel? It sounds like you are trying to check-in earlier than we are, which is probably why our room is usually ready when we check in, and yours seems not to be.

We were told by several different CM's that room requests are granted first come, first served. We seem to have better luck with our requests if we check in at the new resort as soon as we check out from the old. Some seasoned DVC Members will stay locally off property the night before their Disney check in so they can check in at 7:00 AM when the computers switch to the new day.

All day long arriving Guests are asking for a different room so the Front Desk CM's are taking the requested rooms and giving them to the Guest that is in their face. At the end of the day, depending on the popularity of the resort and the time of year, the room that you end up with is a left over.

You would think that online check in would give you a better chance for you request but many including our family have had less requests met using online check in.
