I really like the skillet and would not hesitate to get it, but their other food is good also.
I don't think the seating really matters because we have been there 4 times and sat all over the place.
The one thing I would suggest is to kind of keep your server moving, especially with the skillet and if you get appetizers. Our last trip we were on the dining plan and had the appetizers included. They were either very slow, or were just trying to give us time (a lot of it!) between courses.
It took way too long. Don't be afraid to be a little aggressive and ask them to bring things out quicker. For example, if you do get the skillet and you want more ribs, ask right away.
It took us nearly 2 hours to eat there the last time. Other times it wasn't nearly that long. I know we had kids this last time that were not there the other times and they try to pace it so the kids can do all the activities, but we were there for almost two pony races! I normally wouldn't care, but it did cut into our Magic Kingdom time.
The biggest thing is to just roll with it and have fun. If they mess with you a little, enjoy it. For example, I ordered the all you can drink milkshake because it was, well, all you can drink. After drinking one, it was clear that I was so dehydrated from our day up to that point that the shake wasn't going to do it so I switched to pop (aka soda). We were all so thirsty and kept getting refills that they brought my brother a huge glass and made me go up to the fountain and get my own while yelling about it (all in fun).
I figured it was fun, plus even if I tripped and dumped the pop in front of all those people, I'll never see them again!
One other thing... you do get a ton of food. My wife got wings as an appetizer and then ribs as the entree. The wings are great and so are the ribs but I ended up eating some of her ribs and not getting more for my skillet just because I felt guilty about wasting it. Some of us even passed on the dessert we were so full.
Keep that in mind, especially if you are going back to a park because you will temporarily weigh 5 pounds more after leaving, which is a good thing depending on your point of view!
You will have a good time I'm sure.
