Any tips on how to get a pin code?

I have never received one and am trying to find a way to increase my chances.

log in to the Disney site, price out a trip, save it for later- don't book it. within a few days you'll have a pin code. I read it on here to try it- I did and within 48 hours had my pin for 20% of value, 30% Mod and 40% deluxe resorts

Ummm, not always. You have to at least sign up, but def no guarantee you will get one. It seems like the watched pot never boils . . .

I have never saved a vacation on WDW site before and did so on Sat. I did receive the PIN twice as well! I had been debating as to whether or not to get APs for our Feb trip (we have the PIN through Mid June and want to return early Dec to see Christmas decorations) It did work for me and I'm sure it is related to the saved vacations since one of them was referenced in my PIN email (obsure place for the PIN bottom right of email) Can't hurt to try, doesn't cost anything!

What do you all mean when you say save a vacation? Do I pretend I'm booking it and save it for later at some point where I'm able to, or is there somewhere to save it on the Plan part? Sorry, I'm confused and really want these pin codes!

You have to have an account so that they have an e-mail for you. If you don't have one, register first. Then log in. Go in like you are going to book a trip on line. Pick dates, dining plan, resorts and so on. Click check for availability. Then on the page at the bottom right where you see "book a vacation" look to the bottom left. There is a button that says "save for later". Click that. I think there is a step about "What will you celebrate" or something. Then each time you log in again, all of your saved offers will appear in the top left corner. You can only save 5 at a time.

Here is what finally worked for me. I had been saving trips for June which is when we go. I got nothing for weeks. Then I decided to try a week in March when I know they aren't very busy. (I checked touring plans crowd calendar) I can't go in March, but I saved one. Sure enough about a week later, I got a PIN. It referenced the March date in the e-mail, but the dates were good for most of the year. So I applied it to our June trip with no problem.
