Any tips on getting a last minute res to extend stay?

We have a reservation for Poly coming up in Oct. Were planning to split stay and have 5 nights at Poly and then 2 nights off-site. Have changed our minds and would really like to stay at Poly for 2 more nights. Disney's website is showing no rooms available. Are there any other avenues for getting our stay extended? Other places to look to book rooms? Going to call Disney tomorrow, but thought I'd ask here, too.

Look at Orbitz or Hotels.com or Expedia. They have separate inventory. However, depending on when in October, it might very well be full and you might look at another resort to split stay.

Also check online 30, 29, six, and five days before your desired extension date.

Put in a longer stay that spans your dates and see if Poly shows available. Sometimes it's a weird minimum night formula in the booking engine. If you see it ( say, when you put in start date of the 2 nights you want but make it for a 5 night stay), just call and they'll extend your original reservation.
