Any tips on getting a BOG ADR?

So I made reservations at 180 days out ... We are a group of 8 - 2 families of 4, I knew it would be hard so I was I the ball.

Then crowd level/park hours changed and we had to switch it up a bit. So moved our MK day with our precious BOG reservations ...

Looking for res for a table of 8 or 2 tables if 4 on the 19th for lunch. Preferable at 12. I did manage to get a table for 8 @ 11, but was hoping for later to maximize my touring plans ... What are ppls thoughts? Will I get anything better? Or should I just suck it up and plan with this 11 reservation? We are 43 days out from our trip.

You may get lucky, who knows? But for now be happy with your current ADR. It means you're getting in before the pack, so you won't have to hunt for a big table or wait long for your order. I hope I'm as lucky when I try for our ADR.

I got two. Had to break my party of 4 to two parties of two. Only thing available on oct. 6

I'd be happy you got anything at all...but I'd keep looking for better because I'm just like that.

FWIW, splitting into two parties works fine at lunch because it's a TS restaurant with open seating, so you can just seat your two parties together like they're one big party with little/no problem. We had to do this in December with our party of 5. All I could find close together was an ADR for 4 and an ADR for 1.

I'm going to keep looking for a party of 4. At least we can get in the door with what I booked. Lol
