any tips on becoming a CL

i need tips. ive been asking every cl i saw, which was 3, and only one gave me some tips. any more and where do they send you a reply? is it e-mail or a message on vmk or something. and how are you supposed to apply all they give you is a box to put words like regular contact us categories. i just put a few words about me just getting one warning and no bans and that i want to be one. what are you supposed to put. and i need some tips on how to behave. the cl said to cut down on the dictionary dancing and to be helpful and no bans. and then some other ppl said they are not accepting right now. i need tips for when they start accepting and someone plz let me know when they start accepting again. i also need to know how long you have to have been on vmk bc i have been on since november. and some extra tips would help too.

First of all, VMK is not accepting any applicants for CL at this time. When it becomes available again, there will be some info in the newsletter and a place on the drop down menu under the contact button.

Now, the only advice I can give you is:

1. MOST IMPORTANT!! Know the VMK values and FOLLOW them!! No bans. Avoid dictionary dancing.

2. Know VMK. Know where all the public areas are, know the basics on how to play the minigames.

3. Keep playing the games and have fun! We are all "regular" players, after all.

i put in a CL application at the beginning of june, so i think they are accepting applications. i know someone applied in dec. and they got accepted recently, so you'll have to wait a while............. hope this helps!

Also, you don't have to be everyones friend, you are going to learn that when you become a cl your list fills up fast. If you don't want to be someones friend you don't have to, you are still a regular player.

Just be polite and kind, and if anyone gives yea trouble tell them to stop or report them.

we are kind of like tour guide/police, we help out people to show them where to go and what to do but we try to stop crime, i guess.

*Help like 20 or more people a day with trades/vmk
*give stuff away rare/secret codes
*nice to all vmk players
*Learn how to handle bad situations
*everyone wants me to be there friend

Well, I am a CL. The tips I gave you are all you need to practice. Most important is to know the vmk values.

Jasonpwns: No need to give things to people. It's best to teach them how to earn their own credits.

This may be considered helping, but it's not like you are helping her know how to do things like giving her other answers for questions. Above it made your CL_ friend sound bad by saying you helped her with things she didn't know.. lol

Now a days, it seems more and more people (not everyone) are wanting to become a CL just because they get the CL in front of their name and a new badge to show off. Others seem to want to become 1 because they "think" that CL's get preferred treatment and special privelages over others. Both are false... but even if they were factual, would be the wrong reason to want to be a CL in the first place.

You have your facts mixed up. Community leaders do in fact get special treatment! I promised the others I wouldn't talk about that leader convention...(don't worry CL_Patchy, no one will know about how you messed up the welcome speech and CL_AdioSkater, don't worry about spilling the drinks everywhere ). I also promised our city leader (head of the community leaders) that I wouldn't speak of how we get extra evening hours on vmk...(by the way, thanks for letting me in the other night without my wrist band, city leader!)

Also, the cake we get doesn't hurt our benefits either!

I suppose I should take this time to give out a few warm thanks from our recent awards ceremony! Thanks, town leader, for awarding me the moon room! I sent a thanks to you but I fear it got lost in the black hole.

I also want to thank our state leader for showing me around the new virtual EPCOT currently in the building stages. I can't wait to try out the Test Track game where we can dress up as testers and walk the catwalk.

Alien, before you say something so bluntly, check your facts first...sheesh! You should know better than that.

They reply via email. If you have aol, it may be sent to your bulk or junk email folder, so check that. The box you get when you apply is to write why you feel you would make a good community leader.
