After changing plans several times this year, we have finally decided on first week of September. We have always gone when it is cool in the evening and usually a little too cool (for us anyway) to even swim for more than 30 minutes. I'd love to hear any tips/advice for dealing with the hot September weather. I think our plan for now is to do RD every morning, have lunch and then back to the hotel for swimming and rest, then head to the parks for dinner and rides.

Your touring plan is identical to my warm weather touring plan! It works out so well - almost no one in the parks in the morning, so you can get everything done in a shorter amount of time, then relax by the pool after lunch and have plenty of time to get ready for dinner, then back to the parks for the evening entertainment! Have fun!

We are not ones to go back to the resort in the afternoon but that would definitely help with the heat. Many Disney queues are air conditioned or indoors so that helps. There is plenty of shade, rest on the park benches and drink lots of water. DH broke down (He's cheap) and got the misting fan and that was great. I really only remember it being ridiculously hot one day really and it was in Disney Studios I think it was worse cause the roads are all paved and black asphalt like regular roads would be.

Swimming late at night was amazing. Warm and comfortable.

We went the 2nd week of Sept. last year and it was very hot and humid, but also very do-able. We arrived to every park at rope drop and took lots of ice cream breaks. Other times, we would simply duck into a shop and look around.

We only had rain 1 day. My daughter gets really nervous with storms so I keep and eye out for storm clouds and just meander to the nearest indoor ride or store. We spent a good 45 minutes on carousel of progress last year during a mini monsoon.
