The only transfers I can find near me are Avery? Are these what everyone uses to print there Disigns on for shirts?

I just used the Target brand (Up & Up) printable iron-on paper. It worked GREAT. I've even washed the t-shirt (inside out) a couple times and the DISign is still in top quality. I think the most important thing to do is make sure you pick up the correct transfer paper based on whether you are ironing on a white t-shirt or a dark t-shirt (which is pretty much every color other than white). I've also heard that the DISigner, Amy (aka M_I_C_K_E_Y) sells high quality iron on paper as well. You can probably post on her thread or look at her website in her signature to find out how to order it.

our very own Amy (Mickey) sells the very best! They are long lasting, come with excellent instructions and arrive very quickly....see amymickey.com for details!!

The transfers are sold blank and then you can print your desired design to them using a standard inkjet printer.

Amy's transfers are the best and with them, I have never failed..follow her directions for printing and you will have success:)

These are the best wash after wash! Four years now I have been washing and using them and all my crafter friends use them and wonderful!!!

Thanks Amy for the great find!!

I just ordered more transfer paper from Amy tonight. The quality is excellent and the prices are great!

I have used store bought brands in the past and they worked fine, so don't panic if you don't have time to order from Amy. I just think the quality of the ones Amy sells is better than that of the store bought brands.

Also, you don't have to use light transfer paper on light/white shirts. In fact, most of us here use dark transfer paper on all shirts, even light/white shirts. The dark transfers produce a brighter image. The main difference is that the dark transfer paper is white (not clear), so you have to trim around the image in all the spots you don't want the white to show.
