We're heading over next weekend to catch the tail end of the sales (and have some R&R), anyone got any tips for good things to do/see?

And is there a Disney store?

LOL Rhys,

You took the words right off my keyboard :teeth:

jj I have not been to Leeds before but found an address for The Disney Store, Leeds for you :)

The Disney Store Ltd,16-17, Commercial St, Leeds, West Yorkshire LS1 6AL

Have fun, don't spend too much money.

Thanks Kaylee, finally a sensible answer ;)

Yeach! Football....!

I am from Leeds so will try to recommend a few things.

The Victoria quarter has some great shops (mostly designer but well worth a look.) Also I love the Dark Arches which is a collection of shops under the bridges along the canal by the railway station. There are lots of ethnic shops there which are fun. There are also some good shopping centres. The city centre is pedestrians only so if you just wonder around you can't go wrong.

If you would like advice on anything other than shopping feel free to PM me and I will try to help you.

there is also another disney store in the white rose centre on the outskirts of leeds (between leeds and dewsbury).the centre is a typical big mall type shopping centre..( football!!! a girls game,, wait till the super league starts and watch the Rhinos sweep all before them again)

if your visiting leeds maybe you could go to meadowhall in sheffield its not too far away, thats got a nice disney store.

theres also a disney store in leeds city centre, but be careful in leeds you can get lost quiet fast

What a choice of Disney stores!!

have fun Aruna :) Let us know what you get!

I'm from Leeds and went shopping today so I'm afraid I may not have left you any bargains! If you want to splash the cash then the Victoria Quarter is for you, but the best fun shops can be found in the Corn Exchange (which is brilliant on a Sunday as they have loads of craft stalls). House of Fraser has a good sale on at the moment, but try and get to the Light (the newest shopping centre, on the Headrow), it's great to sit out and have a coffee under the high glass roof. The Disney Store is on Commercial Street just down from Boots and the Virgin Megastore, the sale started early here though, so good luck!

Hi,

Leeds is currently my "second home" at the moment as I'm involved with a major project that means I spend a few days each week there.

The city is great and has all of the regular stores and more.

Lots of good pubs, clubs and places to eat - very vibrant.

Thanks for the tips, I'm sure we'll have a great time. I'm only bringing one suitcase though.... I've got to save some cash for ......?? (more on this later)

Come on Aruna, don't leave us with a cliffhanger!!
