We're going on our honeymoon in about a week staying at wilderness lodge with park hoppers, no dining. I've been to disney at least 20 times none in the last 5. My wife has never been, and I'm so excited to show and experience with my wife, however was wondering if anyone had newlywed tips?!?

Buttons? They asked if we were celebrating and I said honeymoon, what does that mean? Thank you!! I know it this post probably belongs in weddings and honeymoons but didn't see that section till after I posted

Since you noted it, you should get the buttons at check in, but ask for them if you don't. You wear them to show you're on your honeymoon (they have buttons for different celebrations like birthdays, etc.) And then special things happen!

DH and I did a couples massage at the Grand Floridian when we were on our honeymoon and it was pure magic. I can't recommend it enough, it was so nice and luxurious and really made it feel like a honeymoon.

Congrats!

Congratulations! Totally agree about the buttons & ears (they have wedding veil & top hat ears - though I have yet to meet a person over 15 whose head fits into the top hat ones). I would add to plan for a nice sit down dinner one of the days like CA Grille. They can make adult celebrations really special.

Thanks for all tips might do a massage I priced it out at villas at WL for couples Swedish 50 mins is $230 IMO I'd have spend that money on souvenirs no matter how bad I want a massage, I don't know if it's cheaper any where else down there

Yes Yes Yes to the buttons and wedding mickey ears! My husband had never been and I had been too many times to count when we honeymooned there 6 years ago! It was AMAZING. You will hear Congratulations a million times and we had people tell us the sweetest stories about their honeymoons at WDW and their happiness. It was pretty cool. CONGRATULATIONS and enjoy your trip!!

Aw thank you! Yeah our little one is only 2 but he's staying home with family I wanted my wife to experience everything without him holding us back from rides it's her first time here and we'll probably take him once he's four or five

Many Congratulations!
We did a sea and land honeymoon, almost 11 years ago. It was the very best. I say yes to the buttons and the ears (although we only wore them the first day).
The one thing we did and can't wait to do again was Victoria and Alberts dinner. It was the best experience we had. Quite extravagant, but we really wanted to do it. It is a 3 hour +/-dinner that was romantic and the best dinner we ever had to date. It is a mostly adult restaurant (children over 10 or 12). It will be about 4 to 6 years until we can go back with our son, so yes it is worth counting down the years to go, lol.
Stay out late and sleep in is something else I recommend. Crazy I know, but the rush of families in the am at breakfast can be a bit overwhelming to newlweds. The parks at night are worth it. The wonderful late night walks through MK, EPCOT, etc... very romantic. Also enjoy the resort, as much as possible and schedule a late evening perhaps after dinner nightcap at the Grand Floridian bar listening to the piano. The bartender will have the best stories and tips for your honeymoon.
The best advice we got was to do 2 or 3 things (rides, shows, experiences) a day that you really want to do and spend the rest of the time just watching the little magical things unfold, and they will ::yes::
Again congrats, and remember even though there are a ton of people there, it is just the two of you and Disney magic... Enjoy!

Carriage ride at Port Orleans is absolutely perfect...enjoy your time... and Congrats!!

Not sure how your getting there, but we like to hit a Publix for sandwich fixings and snacks....plus a liquor store for beer, wine and alcohol....Disney's prices are ridiculous ....We like making some sandwiches, ( all rooms have a small fridge) grab some drinks and enjoy the pool midday when the parks are crowded and heat is unbearable....then we hit the pool late night with some wine to unwind...

There's a water pageant every night on Bay Lake, marshmallow roast and movie each night too....take along some microwave popcorn, pop it in the food court and enjoy the nightly movie...check the resort for times....

We like renting bikes and surveys at WL, then biking over to Fort Wilderness....Cricketers Tavern is a great place for a pizza and pitchers of beer...also Trails End there has the best and cheapest buffet on property for breakfast and dinner...

Interested in a rip roaring laugh filled evening....do the Hoop Dee Do Recur dinner show at FW ....down home bottles, endless beer and wine and a hilarious show to entertain....just a boat ride away....pleasant way to spend an evening...

I could go on and on....hope you enjoy your honeymoon at the WL....it's our favourites NO area resort....

Where is Victoria Alberts? I'm having trouble recalling GF or canada? We're flying down and taking magical express I wish we were getting a rental but should be fine without it, I am going to take a cab to one of the gas stations for some beer though I know how ridiculous the resort gift shops are. I soo badly wish pleasure island was still open, my wife wants to go dancing and I was kind of looking it up isn't there a dance hall by boardwalk? Is it open M-Su? Thanks again for all congratulations!! 3 days and counting it's all I think about

V&A is at the GF must make reservations ;). They do a great special honeymoon chocolate bar you take home and a special invite too. That of course was 11 years ago but I'm sure they do something extra special.
I just looked and the cost is 135 a person and extra $65 if you include a wine pairing  the prices have seriously gone up. That would be a 400.00 night without tip.
I may have to reconsider going bac :sad2: When we went it was around 250, I think total.

There is a Hess station just past Beach Club, goggle map it. I believe they have beer for sale. Also there is a grocer that delivers to Disney Resorts I believe it is the Garden Grocer, and you can shop online. It is a $15 or so fee.
Have to order a min of $40 though. Might want to pick up a bottle of champagne and relax at pool/hot tub after a day at parks, of any of the other tips on this thread. Try to get what you can there like snacks to make it worth it, strawberries are great with bubbly ;) hotel bar or Artist Point restaurant won't mind you borrowing glasses.

Dancing at the Atlantic Boardwalk on Disney boardwalk, also close to that Hess gas station too and nice walk. Don't know about Mondays but we have been there Wednesdays Thursdays and weekends, think they are open till 1:30-ish AM.

The wilderness pool and hot tub are great at night too. Sit by the beach area to see water parade relaxing.

One more tip, try to walk into parks without bags, purses, or camera bags. If you can skip security line it is better to max time in park, and not deal with backpack loaded guests and the strollers too. A nice pre honeymoon gift for your DW may be a small wallet that can be held onto belt or belt loops with snaps.
I have done that several time, enough room for CC, ID, money, phone and maybe a lipgloss. Loop onto belt and walk in;)

Have loads of fun Magic wishes to the both of you.
