hello all,

my finacee and i are taking our honeymoon to DW in December and we are staying at POFQ. we booked the trip before we were engaged and so i didn't bother to get a king bed. so now, other than calling every day to see if they have had any cancellations, does anyone have any advice on how we could snag a king bed room? thanks.

I would just call Disney Reservations and have that request added to your ressie. Make sure you tell them it's a honeymoon trip, too!

At moderates, this is a special room category you can reserve not just request. So, I'm assuming they are sold out for the OP's date.

It doesn't hurt to have it on there though.

OP-I think you just need to keep calling to see if anything opens up.

This happen to us last year, and I did just that I called every day and about a month before our trip I was able to reserve that king bed .So I must say like the others keep calling, and good luck.:thumbsup2

Without knowing your dates we cannot be sure that the resort is sold out of king bed rooms for your dates.

Are you aware that you can just reserve this room category?

From the Disney website:

our stay is from 12/14-12/24. we took advantage of the 40% off email that was sent back in january and i didn't think to reserve a king bed room.

That could be tough - I do not see any availability for a king bed showing up on the Disney site. Just standard and water view.

Keep calling back - good luck to you!

The disney discount offers don't always include the KING BED category in the room inventories.

For example, last january the discount code provided would have allowed a king bed in POFQ but not in POR.

Either way, you have to book a KING BED room or hope they upgrade you when you arrive.
