hello. as our trip gets closer i keep thinking of more and more questions, but for right now i was just looking for any tips for first timers. (actually, my husband and i have both been to wdw before, but its been at least 13 years since either of us was there.) we will be traveling with our son (who will be 21 months when we go) and i will **hopefully** be pregnant. (but only about 4 or 5 weeks) thanks in advance!! :bounce: :Pinkbounc :jumping3:

Remember, you won't see everything in one trip. Use a touring plan - it really helped us take the stress out of park touring since we knew were getting all the "Must See's" in.

Use the Extra Magic Hours (as long as you have the energy)

Use Fast Pass as much as possible (but I'm sure you've already thought of that).

That's all I can think of right now. Have fun. :)

Pick up Birnbaum's Walt Disney World guide. It is reasonably priced and has alot of tidbits for 1/2 day and full day stays at the parks. There is also info on things that children enjoy most and when to go. Such as visit Toon Town in MK late in the afternoon when the crowds are minimal. You can see Judge Mickey here. There are other tips on where to find characters for autographs or pictures. Everything is broken down by parks and includes maps, lodging, and food.

We went a few years ago (I hadn't been in 20 years and my husband about 15) and the book was a great planning tool, especially with children. Since our time was limited, we were able to plan our "must sees" and "must dos" before the trip began. When we arrived, we did those things and anything else that we had time for was a bonus. This year we will see the things we didn't before.

One last tip. I would suggest you stay on property because you can use the transportation to go back and forth to your hotel or resort. You will be able to go back in the afternoons easily and rest or swim or both. Then if everyone is up to it, you can go back to the parks in the evening to see the fireworks or light parades.

Have a great trip! ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo

would you recommend the "for kids by kids", or the regular one? :scratchin

I would get the regular one. The for kids by kids really is designed FOR kids to read, not for adults w/ kids.

I recommend the regular one. Mainly because that is the only one we have picked up (twice). I have "looked" at the other and it looks like something that kids older than yours might enoy with the different activities, but I can't say for sure.
