I am trying to make this upcoming trip extra special so decided to book the family Magic Tour for first week of January. Booked it this afternoon :cool1:  :cool1:

I have read a few DIS threads on it and it looks like something my kids would be very interested in. Especially since DD8 has decided that Peter Pan is her fav Disney character (according to DD: he thinks of others before he thinks of himself and he helps children).

I know that at the end of the tour the tour particpants get to meet a character, it sounds like often (but NOT ALWAYS) Peter Pan is that character. I won't say anything to DD about it and just hope that it will be Peter Pan.

Does anyone have any thoughts/suggestions you could share with me about the tour?
Thank you
Suzy V.

Suzy,

You and your DD will love the Family Magic Tour!!

We did it last Dec with our DS6, and it was a special highlight of the trip for all three of us! Be prepared to join in - you're expected too, and it makes the memories just that much more special.

The kids (and you) are looking for clues to help save the Magic Kingdom from Captain Hook who is angry about having his hook stolen. You follow the clues as they lead you through the Magic Kingdom, eventually ending up in a location with a visit from a face character.

The CM who leads your tour will be excellent with kids, and will not be afraid of acting out in a very public place!! The kids won't be afraid to either! Nor should you be

For your sake - leave your vanity back at the hotel room that morning - you'll be on display somewhat yourself (if you take the tour to heart and really join in) - if you are at all self conscious of dancing, acting, posing or maybe singing in public etc., you can always tone it down!! But alot of the fun for you as well as your kids is taking part in something magically different at MK.

We had a blast during the tour, looking for "clues", playing follow-the-leader, and acting just plain "goofy" plus we got to see the MK in a new light. It doesn't have to be all about rides and attractions. Being able to act like a kid again (for parents) is a special Disney-treat!

We met Wendy at the end of our tour and the kids loved her. She was so much in character it was easy to forget she wasn't the real thing!! And she lead us into Mickey's Philharmagic for a front-row screening.

If you'd like more info just PM me - glad to help.

I know you'll have a great time!!

We took the Family Magic Tour a few weeks ago and loved it. Our kids ranged in age from 11-5 and they all enjoyed it. We met Peter Pan and Wendy at the end and they took us to Mickey's PhilharMagic. It was a great way to spend a couple hours in the park.
