Afer five times staying on site we are looking to stay off site for 2 nights at the Elysee at Val d'Europe. The plan is to spend our first day in Paris and our second at Disneyland. Anyone stayed here?

Any suggestions where is the best place to buy a one day park ticket? Are there any special offers on the ferry crossing? We plan to spend a night in Dover to get an early start for our first day.

Any tips or suggestions welcome.

Many thanks

Susan

what time of year are you thinking of going? The Sun newspaper has a token collection deal for one day park hopper tickets valid January to March at the moment?

I've stayed at the Elysee. The hotel is nice on the outside and the reception area is nice. The rooms are a bit basic to be honest but they're clean. There's a free shuttle to the parks but it's not that frequent.

The hotel is over the road from Val D Europe RER station. You can get a train to the parks from here for about 1,50e (takes about 2 minutes!). You can also get a direct train to Paris which takes about half an hour.

As the hotel is owned by Disney, you get EMH. Just show your hotel room key or bus pass to CMs. You may have difficulty with this though as most of them don't seem to know about it!

Next door to the hotel is Val D Europe shopping centre. This includes many shops (including a cheaper Disney shop) a very large supermarket, a designer discount village, a Sea Life centre and lots of restaurants (much cheaper than Disney!).

I would stay there again if I got a good rate. If EMH aren't important and you're a small party, it might be worth considering the Ibis or the Etap. Both are cheaper and are just as close to the RER station.

We are looking at Feb half term. not that keen on EMH at Disneyland Paris. Thanks for the tip on the other hotels.
