Need a super cheap room for 4 nights for a family of 5 (kids 6,4,2).

I can get a $32/night rate which includes cont bk (bagel, toast, coffe).

Room has microwave, refrig & coffee maker (which will also save us money).

We will be out all day. Just need the room to sleep.

Is this place accceptable for a clean, safe, inexpesive place to sleep?

Any thoughts, please.

The reviews are mixed. So I'm scared.

I'm not expecting much. Don't need fancy, bells & whistles.

Just need a clean safe place to sleep. And of coarse cheap.

Wish I had some reviews from some DISers. Have anyone stayed there?

I've never stayed here, but for the same price and a better location I have stayed at the Comfort Inn Lake Buena Vista many times and never had a bad stay for the price. Right now there's a deal on travelzoo.com for $33/night:

I've always had a clean room with no bugs which is a must for me. Yes, it's old and worn, but the price is right!!!

HTH!! :goodvibes

Skip the Econo Lodge. Comfort Inn or Hamton Inn would be a better choice. Econo Lodges in general tend to be two star motels or lower.

The reviews on that link from a previous poster, would be enough to scare me away.

I also suggest thinking about something other than an Econo Lodge. I know that that makes it sound like I'm a horrible hotel snob but I feel that Econo Lodges are at or near the bottom of the hotel/motel barrel for chains. Probably more knee-jerk reaction than founded in any experience but I think you could do better.

I'd suggest looking into Priceline or Hotwire. You should be able to get a 2 1/2 star to 3 star hotel @ $28-$35 per night (and dependent upon when you'll be there). The down side is that you won't know what hotel and exactly where it is until after you make the purchase. But the hotel chains that deal with these companies have to meet quality standards. In both cases, Priceline and Hotwire, you can limit the your search to specifically defined areas. We've had dozens of very good experiences using Priceline. Check out www.betterbidding.com and/or www.biddingfortravel.com for advice on how to get the most out of Hotwire and Priceline along with info on others' experiences.

if you are not expecting much then it will be ok.

I'll add to the Hotwire and Priceline recommendations. $32 a night should get something decent in this economy. I am staying 4 nights at a Sheraton Suites near Chicago over the 4th for $35 a night.
