Any SWGE previews for DVC?

Hi,
There is a thread for 5 weeks watch for PAP & PAP + only holders. Disney finally announced the SWGE preview dates yesterday but hasn't opened the registration, yet.

I think the last day is 8/21. We arrive 8/23. Was wondering if they were doing anything for DVC so my DH, the SW fan, could get in early. Me? Spa bound.

None have been announced. Given the restrictions for the previews announced it is unlikely.

I agree chances are near zero but I'm still hoping for a DVC preview as well when the AP ones end on the 21st.

Now that they have stronger resale restrictions, we may see the membership magic budget being greatly reduced. I wouldn't be surprised if MM will be reduced or eliminated next year.

Or reduced just to accommodate those of us that actually bought or will buy direct from Disney.

That wouldn't help much with availability. Over 80% of contracts ever sold are still owned by their original purchasers and since many members add-on resale or buy a small add-on direct after purchasing resale, I'd say probably around 90% owners have at least one contract purchased direct.

I think people wildly overestimate how many unqualified resale buyers there are.

Probably most of the owners on Disboards have a combination of direct and resale contracts, so most of them wouldn't be restricted.

It plays into the DVC message that all system woes are the fault of resales. I bet most resale owners are also direct owners. People like me are the exception that proves the rule.
