We will be arriving @8:30am on the Auto Train, barring any delays, any suggestions on what to do that day Parks?, resort?, Meal?. We plan on staying in a moderate and getting the hopper plus meal plan. Thought about the Backyard BBQ but what time does it start? Help!! :scared: :crazy2:

I have not been to Backyard BBQ, and not sure what you mean by will there be time for the BBQ, if you are arriving at 8:30am, I would think you would get to Disney and settled in my evening. I don't know what time you are arriving but it appears that this is not held everyday.

Mickey's Backyard BBQ is a seasonal offering that takes place at the outdoor Pavilion located at the Settlement at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. In addition to a great meal, it includes entertainment by a live country band, line dancing and Character appearances.

The all-you-can-eat buffet includes BBQ pork ribs, baked chicken, hot dogs, corn-on-the-cob, baked beans, macaroni and cheese, potato salad, corn bread, watermelon and marble cake. Unlimited draft beer, wine, lemonade, and iced tea is also included.

Payment is made when you order the tickets. There is a 48 hour cancellation policy. Tickets can be picked up at any Disney Resort Guest Services desk up to 7 days in advance. You may also get your ticket at the Pioneer Ticket Window 40 minutes prior to the start. When visiting the Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, vehicular traffic is restricted. You will need to take the internal bus to the Pavilion. Always allow ample travel time.

Thanks, What I was worried about was if it was held around lunchtime and for some reason our train was late, we would miss it. Thanks for the info. Any idea if the days change in the summertime? :sunny:
