Looking to do some time in NYC. I'm looking for suggestions on north jersey hotels that are easily accessible to public transportation to nyc.

Thanks.

I would suggest the Lincoln Harbor Sheraton a PP linked to above. It has ferry service right into the city, a spectacular view of the skyline, and its restaurant is pretty good.

If you're pricing things out on-line, be sure to include Secaucus in your search. It won't be as convenient to public transport as the Lincoln Harbor, but some properties run their own shuttles into the City and you could score a good price there. The Embassy Suites there is really nice.

We stayed at the Sheraton in Seacaucus a couple years ago. They had their own bus right into Penn Station, very easy commute.

The one downside, if it applies, they had a fancy pants restaurant and then a sportsbar (which was pretty smoky, dark, not where I wanted to bring my kids in.) There's nothing imediately nearby either. (My DH was working and we didnt have a car to go look for anyplace else.)

I second this, and I believe the NJ Transit bus stops out front as well. Check the ferry schedules - I remember one night DH and I took the ferry in (from North Bergen?), and we stayed out too late to take the ferry back home. Although I guess you could just take the PATH.

Edited to add, it's in a shopping center with chain restaurants and a movie theater complex. http://www.stayinthemeadowlands.com/view_storeinfo.php?ID_no=247&category=shopping
