Suggestions? Well, you could be in for a bit of a challenge! For an afternoon Christmas dinner, your best bet will most likely be to contact the larger hotels in the area and see if any are serving at that time. Rosen Center may be, as well as the Peabody and other hotels of that ilk. Now for the challenge. You may need reservations to dine at these places.
Other than that, there is Pebbles in the Crossroads Plaza. Many folks like this restaurant. I'm not one of them, but that is because I'm incredibly particular about seafood.
You may want to think outside the traditional Christmas dinner box, so to speak, and consider an ethnic restaurant. There is a wonderful Indian restaurant on Turkey Lake Rd (Memories of India) in the K-Mart Plaza. The Sand Lake/Dr. Phillps area of Orlando (Hotel Blvd. to Palm Parkway to a left at the intersection of Sand Lake) has many nice upper scale reataurants. Again, you may need reservations and will certainly need to check serving times.
You'll most likely run into a crowd no matter where you go, so keep that in mind also!
Have a lovely holiday and enjoy your dinner where ever it is you decide to have it!
