Any Star Wars experts?

Thanks! They really do look alike in the movie. I haven't watched the whole Phantom Menace yet and my son keeps replaying the fight scene with Dark Maul, Anakin's Dad and Obie One.

If we ever did see Dark Maul in MGM I would run away- he scares me!

LOL
My son is SO into Star Wars--has been for about a year, he watch at least 2 or 3 of the movies a week and I have never seen any of the three new ones--I only saw the first two because I saw them when I was younger.
I cant believe with them on all the time that I dont even notice.

Aidensmom--love that picture of your son!
My little guy would FLIP! He always wants me to do battle with the lightsabers, but he has to choreograph them exactly the way they are on the movie. :rotfl:

Aidensmom: Loved your pic!!

Cardaway: We went before Star Wars weekend officially opened, and they did have the Jedi training open (below) and a few other things so there is hope if you don't want the crowds! ;)

Here a 2 of mine:

WELL, EXCUSE ME!!! LOL!

I guess it is the GINN that has two N's - Qui-Gon Ginn. I am not the resident SW Expert of the house!

Well, she was only correcting your earlier correction of the OP. So, if it upsets you to be corrected, you may have upset the OP as well.

LOL!!! It's Jinn. :lmao: My brother is a colossal Star Wars fan and it's rubbed off on me. Jut so you know I'm only trying to be informative. :)

rt2dz why all the sad faces- I know I'm Star Wars knowledge challenged but Im not that bad!

Because I am held prisioner by Star Wars fanatics (DH, DS6, DS3) I know wayyyy to much Star Wars. I'm sad for me. All this knowledge (and "they" would say I know nothing) and so many of you out there aren't forced to live a life of a galaxy far, far away.

Did y'all not see the LOL at the end?? It was all in jest.

The expert is home now, so I can double check any info. But I guess I will just stay away from this thread.:guilty:

It wasn't my intention to make you feel bad. And I never got the impression you were upset at me from my first post. I just wanted you to know that I wasn't trying to be correctively mean. I mean, it's only fiction anyway. ;)

I'm sorry. I thought you were seriously upset. Honestly, though, the OP said she didn't know much about Star Wars, and I hated to see her corrected. I'm sure you were only trying to be helpful though.

No, no not upset at you at all! :) I freely admit I am not a SW Expert - I learned thru osmosis, lol. One of those movies is on almost constantly at my house. :upsidedow

I was not exactly correcting, just sharing what info I had. Just because I tried to use the proper names in my response I am trying to make the OP feel bad? :confused3 That surely was not my intent.

I didn't mean that you were trying to make her feel bad. Anyway, I'm glad we've cleared it up, and I'll let the conversation go back to Star Wars.
:chewy:

Can we stop with all of the correcting now? You're talking about one of my favorite subjects but the correcting of the correcting of the corrections... ummm, you know... has almost taken over. ;)

Anyway, we went for one of the Star Wars weekends and it was great. We didn't stand in line for the characters though; we were just happy to see so many of them all over the place. They had an Anakin that was just about a dead ringer for Hayden Christiansen that was particularly impressive.

One place that got really crowded was Star Traders. It was insane in there!

Have they released the dates for the 07 SW weekends yet? :confused3

We missed it by 2 days last year!

Sorry for bogging down the thread!

My six year old son is way into Star Wars and I'd love to take him to SW Weekend. He and my husband have watched all of the movies, and now they are reading some of the books together. My husband says the books are wonderful.

My BF saw on another site that someone received their Mickey Monitor AP Newsletter and it said SWW were every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in June.

Other than that, nothing has been officially said tho. :upsidedow

How exciting! We're trying to go sometime in June and that would be perfect. :thumbsup2
