Any special November quirks in Florida?

We just went to WDW at the very end of Sept. We knew about the chance of Hurricanes and we knew that it wouldn't be exactly 'cool' weather.
But we weren't aware of the lovebugs! They weren't bad, just unexpected and after reading posts about them being in swarms before we left I was very worried.
Thankfully it wasn't as bad as we had feared but now we are planning our next trip for next November (2007) and would like to know NOW before I book it if there are any special November issues we should be aware of?
Any special bugs that only make their appearance at this time?
We are planning on arriving two days after Thanksgiving Day (we are driving) and staying through the weekend and entire following week and not leaving until they kick us out on that following Saturday.
I've read that it is low crowds, cooler weather, and the very end of Hurricane season so we should be fine.
I just wanted to know if there is anything else we should be aware of?? When are the noxious cheerleaders again? I definitely want to avoid them.I thought it wasn't until Dec. 5 or 6th that they descend on WDW like locusts.. :confused3

November is wonderful here in Florida. I am going Nov. 11-17 and can't wait.
The weather is very nice not hot or cold. :thumbsup2 Maybe cold only to us floridians. But the nights you will need a light jacket or long sleeves. The only thing is that when a cold front does come down here sometimes it will bring rain. I did check the weather precipitation and Nov. and it does have the lowest amount . The rain does pick up a little in Dec.

Crowds will begin to lower Monday or Tuesday after Thanksgiving so keep in mind that the first few days of your trip the parks will be VERY busy, but then it should be rather nice all ways around. The weather is "usually" very nice this time of year. Keep in mind cold fronts do start coming through so you might have occasional rain but nothing like other times of the year.

I don't know of "any" pests "out of the norm" that hang around this time of year. Just the regular ones that are usually there, like the "regular" palmettos, ants, etc. Love bugs and mosquitos should be gone by then because the weather will be cooler.

The Pop Warner competition is usually the first weekend in December, not sure it they'll wait until the 2nd weekend in 2007 since 12/1 falls on a Saturday. We've been to WDW when they've been there and never ran into them or had any problems really, didn't even know about them until I read about them on the boards.
