me and my friends go to supermarkets prtending to be mentally disabled or pretend that we think we are in a warzone , it can get pretty funny

I acted like a complete fool in Target once, but there was a very good reason. My kids had been terribly annoying when I was shopping one day. My DD was 3 and my DS was 7. I had told them we'd go to Target to look at the toys not buy IF they behaved well while I was doing my own shopping. Well, they could tell when we left I was steaming. My DS said "we're not going to Target are we?" I said "Oh YES we ARE". Off we went. When we arrived, I proceed to act as they had acted when I was shopping. I took them to the toy section of Target and started up. I pushed them around the aisles (gently like kids wrestling, I held them and just moved them around the aisle) so they couldn't look at what they wanted and I whined VERY LOUDLY. I want NAIL POLISH, I want TIME TO MYSELF, I want to go to the SPAAAAAAA, I want to go on a CRUISE, I wanna I wanna I wanna take a NAP. When they were sufficiently embarrassed by my behavior, I stopped. Other children looked at me in horror during my "scene" but the parents could tell what I was doing and either nodded knowingly or giggled. I marched the kids out to the car and said "THAT is how YOU were acting, if you EVER pester me in a store again I'll embarrass you even more!" They don't act up in the store at all, that was all it took. If they forget for a minute and start to misbehave, I remind them by starting to sing RESPECT very quietly and if they don't stop I get louder. I never have to get louder. Oh and BTW I did not go to the nearest Target where I always shop. ;)

OMG Lizzie I LOVE IT!!! I wish I had thought of that when mine were little! I'll have to let my daughter read this one...her little one isn't that old yet but is already becoming a handful when shopping! Thanks for making my morning start with a big chuckle!!! Janet

I don't see how that is in any way funny :confused3

Lizzybee that was awesome :thumbsup2 . What a creative way to get your point across to your kids. I think being embarassed by parents is probably every kids worst nightmare.

mdhkitten I think Code 3 is suspected shoplifting in progress::cop:? I never worked there though so I'm not positive. Anyone who worked/works at Walmart have an accurate answer?

Also, I wouldn't but too much merit into what donnyg says he's just some kid trying to be funny :sad2:

Just what I was going to say rer.................if you look at Donny's profile it says that he just turned 15.

Single Disney men huh? Anyone form South FL?
Sorry Princess19,

I ride horses, chew tobacco, drink whiskey, and carry a six shooter (darn where's the cowboy smiley when you need it). I do enjoy visiting The Mouse every so often though.

Speaking of visiting The Mouse. Anyone going to WDW February 2007? Specifically, Feb 1st-4th. My cousin (also single) and I will be camping at Ft. Wilderness at that time. party:

TERK-1 Let me know if you find more then one single disney loving man in the NE area !!! I would be interested too . Altho like others have said LDR are not so LD anymore with IM & Webcams and such... Michelle

well we had to expect someone to be a dweeb and pop in with some nonscense...Ignore the kid...he knows not that he is STUPID for acting out in public places like someone who has special needs...shame...but maturity will fix that one day hopefully...if not...hope he doesn't run into folks like me who quickly nip stuff like that in the bud..I work with special needs people every day..its nothing to joke about!!Janet
