Any Seattle DISers out there??????

Unless your going to do the Aquarium, Woodland Park Zoo, Science Center or the Museum of Flight I dont think the City Pass will be a good value for you. If you go to the website and click on Adult/Child pricing it will give you a break down of the costs of the other Seattle attractions. http://www.citypass.com/city/seattle.html The only option you will be albe to use is the Arogsy City Cruise. Here is something else to consider, if your going to do the Bremerton Ferry (located on the waterfront) I dont know if I would do the Argosy cruise as well. You might see the same things from the water? I have never done the Argosy Cruise so maybe someone else can weigh in on that.

The monorail is still closed, but there are buses or cabs available to take you to the Seattle Center for the Space Needle. The Pike Place Market and waterfront areas are great areas to explore. Another option is the Duck tour. http://www.ridetheducksofseattle.com/ .

Thanks so much for all of this information, noodles. The Duck tour looks like lots of fun. I think we will do that one. I will have to ask DH about ferry or Argosy tour. I would like to do both. :goodvibes It looks like the duck tour and Argosy tour may cover some of the same sites. What do you think?
I am getting more and more excited!
I just finished packing all that I can pack now. The rest will have to go in tomorrow after I get dressed for the airport.

I cant comment on the duck boats as that is one of the few things I have left to do here. I am just waiting for a guest to want to do them so I have an excuse to go.
I have done the argousy sp? cruise around Bill Gates house. The argousy cruises are good because they do tell you a bit about what you are looking at. However the cruise I was on was expensive for what you actually do.
The ferry to bremerton has little if any discussion on what you are looking at around you. It is just a way to get to the island and back but it has wonderful views and it doenst cost what argousy costs.
Here is a link for the underground tour. http://www.undergroundtour.com/

I hope you have a wonderful trip.

Sorry, I had no idea the monorial was not running.

I agree the City Pass is not worth it if you're not going to do at three of the attractions. But since you pay just a little more than half of the standard prices of those attractions, you save money even if you only do 3 fo the 5 attractions.

I have done the Argosy (Habor/Waterfront) tour and IMO it would be worth it for tourists interested in the city and the port. The ferry to Bremerton is quite different and also worth it, but don't think of it as a way to see the waterfront. It's purpose is to get to the other side of Puget Sound. That's great if you want to see Puget Sound (very cool) but it's not at all a tour of the waterfront. The only downside to taking the ferry as a tourist IMO is the time it takes. Pretty slow going and obviously you have to take it both ways.

I have seen the "Duck" (you can't miss the vehicle :) ) but I don't know anybody who has taken the tour.

I second the idea of taking the Blake Island tour. Blake Island itself is fun to visit (lot's of wildlife) and there is a Native American dinner show that many people enjoy if you're interested, have the time, and if there is space (it sells out).

The Underground tour is worth it IMO and starts from a shop in Pioneer Square not far (walking distance) from the Pike Place Market area.
