Okay I know of TPCShauna, but is there anyone else out there in my neck of the world? some of you don't have your location listed.

I only have one friend here who scraps and she just had a new baby (#3) so she's pretty much out of commission for a few months. Feeling lonely that I don't have more scrapping buddies. Would love to get together for scrapping and just hanging out with fellow DISser's.

Hope someone is out there......anyone?

Thanks,
Lisa

Hello, anyone out there? I can't be the only Central CA girl out there?

Lisa

Well, I'm sort of close to you. I live in Rocklin (right by Roseville), close to Sacramento. I have several scrappin friends, including my Mom and MIL, and 2 of my closest friends. I mostly scrap with the moms, though. We do lots of Cricut stuff, and I also make a ton of cards and invitations and stuff. You're totally welcome to come hang out with us sometime and get some scrappin done. We have a spacious crafting area just for us girls, 2 Cricuts, and about 15 Cricut cartridges. We'd love to have you over sometime - just say the word!

Thanks, I sometimes go up there to shop at the Galleria, I will let you know if I can make it up sometime. If you are ever down here in Modesto area let me know. I also have a Cricut (about a month now) and love playing around with it.

Don't you just LOVE the Galleria?? I go there way too often, and live just about a 7 minute drive east from there. That's also my DD's favorite place to go. Did you know they're adding on about 100 stores? Isn't that wild?

How do you like your Cricut? Are you getting the hang of it yet? I've had mine since April, and love it so much! That's all I ever want to do anymore, LOL!

Well, we used to drive through Modesto a lot on our way to Bakersfield, but we don't have family there anymore, so we haven't been down that direction in close to a year. But if we ever do go, I'll let you know. And definitely stay in touch if you're coming up this way. It would be fun to meet up!:)

We love the Galleria too, we lived in the Folsom/El Dorado area in 2003 and went to it all the time. My DD is a "mall rat" even at an early age....guess that my fault :rolleyes1 she still loves the carousel.

We were just up there about 3 weeks ago doing some school shopping and went to MyGreenTangerines (TPCShauna told me about it) wow what a store, my lss here aren't the best and neither is our mall, but supposedly they are adding on to ours sometime soon, but it won't be 100 stores :sad1: .

I love my cricut, even did my first swap because of it for DLR/DCA swap. Have made some stuff for the characters to sign when we go back to DLR for MHT in Oct using their icons at 4 - 5". I have both Mickey carts, George, Jasmine, Christmas Cheer (will be making my cards this year) and Celebrations. Waiting for the Princess carts and Paper dolls and then I promised DH NO MORE carts....well for awhile anyway :lmao: .

What DCL ship are you going on? we were on the Magic 1/05 7 days Western and then a week in WDW, have you been on the cruise before? if you need any info let me know. the cruise is a lot of fun, but 7 days was a bit much, especially for my DH (he's not into Disney like myself and DD) DD was almost 5 when we went, so didn't go in the camp for too long, but loved the Mickey pool and slide and of course all the ice cream and fries she could eat  (I made her eat a healty breakfast and didn't worry about the rest of the day).

Would love to meet up sometime and get to know another DISser scrapper. My DD is 7 but loves little kids, especially other "princesses". Will definately keep in touch and can maybe plan a trip up north in the fall.

Hey, I was just in Green Tangerines today! That is definitely the best scrapbook store I have ever been in. They had a sale going on today, and I got a TON of brads for dirt cheap. I'm also going to be making my own Christmas cards with that Christmas Cheer cartridge. I'm a serious, card-making nut! I have all the same carts as you, plus a few more. Well, actually, I kinda share carts with my Mom and MIL, so between us we have a bunch. The Mickey carts are so wonderful! And like you, I'm dying to get my hands on the Paper Dolls cart and the Princess ones too. I have a friend in New Jersey who is going to try to get me the 4 pack with Paper Dolls from AC Moore on Tuesday morning when they go on sale. I'm so excited!

We are going on the Wonder at the end of October, for a 4 day cruise, plus a few days at WDW beforehand. I've never been on a cruise at all, so I can hardly wait. DH and I were never huge Disney freaks until DD came along, and she somehow just went nuts over Mickey and all things Disney, so we got sucked in too, and now we plan our vacations around it all. I think DD will love the kids' club on the ship - she's pretty outgoing and independent, so I'll probably have to drag her away from it just so she can get a little sleep. Funny, I was actually wishing we had booked the 7 day cruise, since 4 days just doesn't seem like long enough to me. DH is mostly looking forward to the WDW days, and I'm mostly looking forward to the cruise (and some "me time").

How cute that your daughter is a Princess fan! I'm doing a big Disney Princess party for DD in September, when she turns 3. I even found a place to rent a Disney Princess Castle jumpy house. She'll be in heaven! Our DD's would probably get along great. Emily tends to like older kids, since often kids her own age aren't too talkative, and she just wants to have grown-up conversations all day long. :lmao:

We should definitely try to get together sometime in the fall - either the mall, or Green Tangerines, or my place. That would be great!

Megan fell in love with Minnie at about 1, had her first WDW trip just before turning 2, when she saw Minnie for the first time she ran up to her and said "I've been looking forever for you" (she was a very early talker).

My best tip for you on the cruise is keep Emily on CA time. we had late dinner seating so didn't get done until 10:00 (7:00 CA time) so went back to cabin, wound down a bit and got Megan to bed by 10:30, she was up by 9:00 most mornings, it worked great for us and enabled us to stay out later for WDW too.

Will be in touch soon.
