Any rumors re musical (band) acts?

Last time I was at Epcot, I struck up a conversation with a CM who was with me on bemoaning the loss of such groups as MK Band and Future Corps, and the fact the Tomorrowland Blast and Jammitors have fewer shows than we'd like. He mentioned that "he'd heard" that in the next several months there's talk of a marked increase in those types of musical groups. He claimed that they were extremely popular with some people. Has anyone heard this type of rumor? Or was he just perhaps making conversation? I'd love to see Future Corps, or some similar group.

Here's a link to a thread about more live entertainment throughout Walt Disney World. I wouldn't bother going through the whole 8 pages, since it gets sidetracked into one of the ongoing debates around here, but the rumor itself is interesting.
